If the game aligns more with BF3/4 and not BF1/V (in terms of general gameplay), then I can't really see how it'll flop unless they did something we don't know about yet that really dries up the experience.

Yep. It does look like they're going in the right direction. This is one of the very, very, very few occasions I've seen something the players do (RendeZook) in a trailer for a game.

Now sure it could have been done simply for fanservice, but part of me doesn't think so.

There's a lot of new things that haven't been done previously in the series, and it'll be nice to see how all that pans out. Vehicle summoning was obviously a part of V, but not to the level of BF2042, so I'm interested to learn more about how they balance it, as well as how they're going to balance the specialists. At the end of the day, if the game is just unbalanced and super frustrating, people won't wanna play it. At the same time, I'm hoping it's not overbalanced like Black Ops 4 was. Or any other shooter that flies too close to the comp shooter sun.

Super high TTK is why I just can't get good at BR games. If I have to hit 30 shots to kill someone...yeah that just drop my chance of winning a gunfight to near zero. If I can get the drop on someone and blow them the fuck away, that feels a lot better. I feel like a lower TTK also makes you a more cautious player.
