Agreed, way too patronizing and while rendezook is cool looking when your past 4 games have been riddled with vehicle bugs and balance issues I would have liked to have seen something more serious to reflect that they were taking quality more seriously. Overall I wanted something inspirational more than dreadful. Didn't really seem coherent. Yeah I could dig those - I'd want to see mortars return though as a counter. Not the BF3/4 style but a limited per map style where it would be like a special class kind of like calvary was in BF1. So you'd have like 2 per team (amount varied by map) and that way you never get arty spam but its still useful to take out hardened positions.

Agreed - understood why they did it but making mortars balanced is really easy actually. Just making it so that accuracy starts as terrible and then you hold down the fire button to shrink the cone and the fire when you release the button. Then you can also make it so that once you press and hold the fire button you can no longer move the reticule. So now you've eliminated the argument against them that they are skilless - you'd have to be pretty good at anticipating player movement to be effective with them (unless you are dealing with a static target in which is the mortar's natural prey)

trust me. i have played 360 and xbone and pc. The small section of river that divides B and C on SoS in BF4. the little boardwalk right above the water. i have always played on every platform there. console even with aim assist the engagement zone is too far so the fight is not worth it to give up your position and the other player might do the same. in pc I did the same, I let it go. I didnt even move and the dude dropped me in half a sec with the aek from that range. pretty sure wasnt headshot as well. i didn't even have time to react. dude just droipped me instantly. has opened my eyes on engagement ranges from different consoles. each generation gets harder and pc boiz on locker are fucking sweats. xbone is similar but not the same. you just know when you have tried them all. I also cant look at my friends TV anymore. 144hz vs 60 on xbones cap is so horrendous to look at

I think it'd be cool if they had a like chill sandbox mode where all the building on the map could be entered and they all had procedurally generated floors/rooms. Wouldn't be balanced or anything but just kinda cool to have every building actually accessible.
