And BF6 is so bad optimized. i played 2042 on ultra settings without dlss and that supersmooth. bf6 only makes problems at medium settings and i start with 150fps, after 4 matches i end up at unplayable 40-55fps. My son has problems too with bf6, all runs unplayable at slo mo

For the performance problem after several matches it may be worth a try manually lowering the texture quality all the way down if you are using a graphics card with 8GB VRAM or less to see if it helps.

2042 is FUN. For me it is no contest between the two games. The vehicles in 2042 control great and are enjoyable to use. Infantry combat doesn't feel frustrating. The maps are colorful, large and have a variety of unique locations. Playing as a medic feels rewarding. 2042 Breakthrough mode a single player or squad can make all the difference in the outcome of a match whereas the new game for me always just feels like a meat grinder. I enjoy the various characters and the abilities they bring with them. 6 is a quality game however 2042 is king of the Battlefield games.

For a now legacy battlefield title the only way it can stay alive is if it is spectacular. BFV, BF1, BF4 all fall into that category hence why people still play them to this day. 2042 is merely a serviceable game that some people are able to squeeze as much fun out of it as possible more than others.

And I'm not saying 2042 is a bad game. But it has to be a truly incredible game for it to survive beyond new titles releasing

I'm sure all the 2042 players in here don't care for BF6 but that is also already an all time great that will still have good numbers when the next title releases

I did play them but not like I do now. Didnt play alot of videogames. I was focused makin money and duckin hoes in my early 20s. Either way. I'm talking game engines bud.
Bf3 is frostbite 2. Bf4 and bf5 are frostbite 3 with bf5 being the final version of frostbite 3. They rebuilt frostbite for bf2042 almost from the ground up so it could behave the way it did. They then took the base of that engine, updated it with the best of the previous engine and you have the true frostbite 4 that bf6 runs on. I see alot more 5 in 6 then I do 3 or 4 or 2042. That's why I say 6 is bf5 with modern dlc on an updated engine.

I never have a problem finding an Xbox server for bf5 or bf1 but i havent been on bf1 in a couple months. Use the server browser and set the filters works.
2042 is far from dead tho. Sometimes it can be hard to get into a server due to the matchmaking and no proper server browser but I was in full 128 conquest matches the last few days and they were fun. Lots of low level players too so people are still trying it. Bf2042 in its final form on current gen consoles/pc is a half decent battlefield game once you get used to it.

sorry i forgot to answer so the portal isn't a real solution and i will explain why. If you want to play in "Moderate" which is the mode you get while playing Solo/Coop, then you need put all settings to default except the gamemode, the maps and the player count. That mean, to play Russia, you will need to play one match that last 30 mins and that's not the worst problem. The worst problem is that since you can't enable the parameter that allow AI to be in your squad otherwise it will change the "Moderate" to "Restricted", then the enemy team will have 2 to 3 players more so the opposite team always win.

DICE really fucked BF2042 before they left it, when they force merged 64 and 128 into a single mode, they killed the entire playerbase for it, I cannot find a game, it is only on portal

they nerfed the fighter jets, they nerfed the attack jets, they nerfed the draugr, they buffed the wildcat, they fucked up CQ64 and then they released the new game, just, really awful

okay so you aren't wrong, but on the main page there's a selection for what mode you want, now it just says "Conquest Forever" and it's both rolled into one, since OCE community does not want to play 128 in matchmake, nobody even tries anymore

yeah, the wildcat needs a nerf, the fighter jets need some slight buff, either ATGMs getting more range or reversing the Rocket Pods nerf, the A-10 needs a rework, manoeuvrability should not be a perk, it should be the same regardless of what perk you use, perks should be; More health, more damage, stealth, emergency flare (emergency ECM is silly) and the draugr needs a stealth mode like the stealth chopper

to play against players, i need to "TDM" and there is only 10 to 12 players maximum

5 on each team, rest are bots

starts with teir 5

ends in teir 1

you get a unique skin that is black and red on tier 1

as well as a badge for you rprofile

but you need alot of kills, 1,200 for most items, some is more, helicopters it's 2,400, transport vehicles it's like 6000 assists as well as other things

there is players in that game but there is something needed to get player, it's "Crossplay", you sadly need to enable it otherwise the game is basically dead except in TDM where there was like 10 players, 5 on each team, rest were bots, when you enable "Crossplay", you can play Conquest and it is almost full everytime
