It's definitely not P2W. I can see how you would get confused and compare it to Call of Duty though. The reality is the BP guns don't even come equipped with much in the way of "GOOD" attachments. If you figure out what they are and look at them individually, they're all negatively impacting your aim without some other, LOCKED (behind progression) attachment.

Probably at first it was trash but I like it a bit more than bf6 bc I don’t glitch out and rubberband like I have trash internet and in Ethernet plugged in. Graphics are better in bf6 but I like the option of changing scopes etc on the fly. I like some of the gadgets

tbh you can expect a lower player count on older gen consoles, due to it being an older game and on last gen consoles. Your best bet is to upgrade your systems or subscribe to cloud gaming like xbox game pass.... that ups the player count significantly as them systems supports more active current gen players

Yeh, unfortunatley you can't stream new games like you can on xbox game pass, through the playstation plus service. Playstation plus just lets you stream from its existing game catalogue for the native playstation your on... so in your case that would be battlefield 2042 on PS4, and you can only access it on the playstation 4 and no other devices... currently

i mean this are my concernes ... the new map is bad, very bad. U can spawncamp the Bases, skybox is to small, after 5 minutes of game there is no cover so everyone is sniping and i feel like im on the red carped. The Season 1 design is to flashy for me. To much colors and all these neon colors euuughh. Most designs of the Skins are good but the coloring is bad. The Weapons skins are ... not to my liking, actually BF 2042 did it right for most of the skins. A few leaves here and there, some camouflage netting, and a little bit of tape, perfect. I dont like that the Skins u get are binded to the weapon config. I mean in BF2024 we got very special skins and u still be able to change the loadout of the gun. I dont like to be forced to play Redsec to unlock things for the normal multiplayer like the british troops. And last but not least the bugs ... some bugs are there since the labs playtest. U can still fly with the drone on buildings, the vignette is plopping up in pitch black sometimes even if u turned if off, sometimes the ACOG shows me thermal sign, and when im running over a curb or a brig i get launched to the moon.

I dunno why. But I remember this one guy piloting a jet. I was behind him tryna lock on and send a missile. But he changed flight modes and got behind me. So... me knowing he can't really maneuver that well IN that mode, I just flew up above and behind so he couldn't keep a lock. A major exodus does not surprise me, i recon a lot of people are glad to close that book and never look back.
I for one am not going back to 2042 ever, but i can also understand some people might think its the best in the franchise. Because it is so vastly different. Really liking my time in BF6, if only it wouldn't crash anymore, that would be sweet.

They listened to the complaints of COD streamers over people who have played BF for years. They removed so many features.

Hello guys, i am an experienced 2042 player, new to this discord.
I have played Delta Force as well but i am not a fan of its graphics especially the compact weapon models and shitty Anti aliasing solution. On top of that it is not like conquest which i love in battlefield, it is attack and defend, so you can't roam around full map in vehicles in that game. Also the particle effects and explosion sounds in Delta Force are quite rudimentary when compared to Battlefield.
2042 was real fucking good game and IMO BF6 was supposed to be a better looking version of 2042. Still i am happy how is it going with BF6 but i don't like smaller infantry maps in BF6. The COD like weapon models and related animations is a welcome change in BF6 which should've been in 2042.
What do you guys think ?

Gauntlet is free. That's 20 maps on a mix of gamemodes. As someone who owns BF6 I've been spending more time in gauntlet than the regular multiplayer lol

So they scrapped 64v64 and therefore scrapped those bigger maps.
Because maps intended for 128 players would be dead af if played on with only 64 people.

One of my main pet peeves regarding the weapons is how a lot of the legacy w weapons lack different magazine models. (Best example being extended mags for certain pistols)

After spending years flying in BF3 and BF4 (over 1500 flight hours total),
I decided to break down how the current lock-on system in BF6 actually works —
and why it feels so unfair for pilots.
⚙️ 1️⃣ The Problem
In BF6, the lock-on mechanic is flat and instant:
once you’re inside a certain range (no matter the angle, altitude, or terrain),
the system starts locking you with a fixed time — usually around 1.0–1.2 seconds.
That means
Flying higher or lower barely changes anything.
Terrain and maneuvering have minimal effect.
The pilot’s reaction time is smaller than the lock delay itself.
It’s not skill-based. It’s math-based — and broken math at that.
2️⃣ The Correct Lock-Time Formula
Here’s what a balanced system should look like:
✅ For MANPADS (Stinger / IGLA):
Max lock range: 300m
Example values:
50m → 1.1s
150m → 1.5s
300m → 2.1s
✅ For AA Vehicles (Bradley / Tunguska):
Max lock range: 450m
Example values:
50m → 1.0s
150m → 1.4s
300m → 2.0s
450m → 2.6s
This scaling keeps things fair — closer targets get faster locks,
but long-distance locks take time (and give the pilot a chance to react

it's so depressing how low the Headshot multiplier is in BF. As long as it's below 1,5 baseline it's absolutely worthless trying to headshot. Been playing Arc Raiders the past 2 weeks and it's so much more fun or rewarding to have multipliers around 2 - 2,5.

Gauntlet will probably go down as one of the greatest additions to the franchise. It's basically giving people arguably the best part of the game for free. All the weapons and gadgets are unlockable from the main game and you get 20 entire maps to play on with 8 super fun gamemodes that are exclusive to Gauntlet. ALL COMPLETELY FREE TO PLAY 🔥
I put in 100 hours on conquest in the main game but now that I'm addicted to Gauntlet I haven't touched the paid game in almost 2 weeks 🤣

It’s the Easter egg that allows you to get the prototype weapon, it’s pretty complex and requires a full squad of 4 to do. Would recommend looking it up on YouTube

If you are running the game in Fullscreen mode try Fullscreen Borderless mode instead to see if the situation improves. If Fullscreen Borderless does help, sometimes when you ALT+TAB back into the game the screen may look frozen, just ALT+TAB a couple more times and it should return to normal.
