Just make sure you do a fresh install once a year cause if your updating your system if you think about it overtime it builds up so many cache files then you got previous version files clogging up can’t think of the word I’m trying to use but simple terms think of rebuilding database as console users call it. When you updating all time they not removing with each update so it like you adding more and more shit as each update carry’s on

yea, early versions of win 11 sucked ass compared to 10, but 11 is hands down (at least on the last 3 gens of hardware) better performance for the added security. 11 still seems to use way more RAM out of the box, but it looks like that's just due to how the OS "holds" onto memory that apps have released in case they need to use it again

Here's something that they clearly didn't think of...
What if instead of dying because I entered a protected area I simply was flagged or spotted. If I enter the area for 15 seconds total which means I can't enter the area back out and then go back into the area and restart my clock. If I enter the area for 15 seconds then I'm spotted as soon as I enter the area I don't die just cuz I was in the area. And you can give the opponent the people in that area spawn protection. They have three seconds of spawn protection.

The TLDR is
Safe areas are no longer considered safe areas
Players are allowed in those areas and are spotted as long as they are in that area for 15 seconds which does not restart just cuz they left the area
Each opposition inside the safe area has a spawn protection of 3 seconds

Now they're inclined to actually engage because there is a perceivable threat. The opponent can enter the area and not die because I happen to be 800 m in the safe area

Oh, yeah, the RX 7000 Series was less likely to suffer from the crash on death in-game in 2042. Still had a small chance, but not as much as the RX 6000 Series ones.

Hi everyone, I'm experiencing a problem with BF2042 on PC. After playing for a while, I start to have a huge input lag on the keyboard. I should mention that I've already ruled out a connection issue by checking that it's not that. It's not an FPS problem because they remain stable at 120, and the mouse commands are perfect. This only happens in this Battlefield, so I exclude the keyboard as the issue. Has anyone else had the same problem? Do you know how to fix it? Thanks.

Ignore some of this, and look for any UEFI Mode settings and other prerequisites that aren't set yet (Turn off BitLocker first before that, if used). Alternatively, ignore that as well, and attempt Platform Key re-enrollment first.

Part shader handling issues internally, part driver issues (sometimes), part culling things too much, and part taking too long to load them in fully.

At the time, there was a new COD game releasing and they were heavily marketing their "new" ground war mademode which was increased to 48 players and also included vehicles now.

It was simply that information and the fear that battlefield is no longer a "grander" experience than COD that caused panicked EAs to go "OH YEAH, WELL WE HAVE 128 PLAYERS NOW".

It was nothing but a genetalia size bragging exercise.

And even if they were given more time its still a matter of scaling.

You cant guarantee equal player distribution so if everyone decides to contest the same flag you run the risk of you know 60 vs 60 in one spot instead of 30 vs 30, this get too chaotic too fast and not in a good way.

There is no 2042 campaign. Only background storylines tied to seasons, events, easter eggs, and Codex entries.

yes it's confirmed, they mentioned the term "full xp", this is the system in battlefield 2042, if I am correct I think this is in relation to full, limited and no xp, that is they will likely have systems in place to stop farming xp servers, otherwise full xp will be enabled

In other news...Well, apparently, in spite of mandating HVCI and VBS, the BF6 Open Beta may not actually require Memory Integrity to be turned On in some cases. It wants everything up to that point to be enabled, with Secure Boot, UEFI Mode, platform key enrollment, and Virtualization in UEFI/BIOS settings enabled+Virtual Machine Platform enabled in Windows, but not that point itself.

Otherwise, it is only mandating it on CPUs that can do it natively in-hardware. CPUs that can only emulate the Memory Integrity feature set are spared from this check.

Yeah an invite. So since I was a bf labs tester I get automatic access to bf6 tomorrow but if you weren’t in labs didn’t get a beta code or didn’t sign up before the 31st of the cutoff period then you can play I believe until the 14th

Now if you preordered I could be wrong but you get access the 9th

Yes there is a reduction, at least in terms of objectives and areas to focus on.

No idea, I know if you have an Xbox controller on PC it just works out the box but I normally use keyboard and mouse, I would NOT recommend you download anything like DS4windows, that will get you banned right quick with the new anti-cheat.

The way I got mine to work was add the game as a non steam game then override the steam input via properties launch through steam and enjoy gaming with ds5. However old battlefield unfortunately you must use KBM unless you got Xbox controller when on pc ps5 controller won’t work I tested this myself

yep, COD barely ran on my system last time I tried it a few months ago on the battle royale version, long load times and stutters. BF2042 ran smoothly and with vehicles.

Yeah, did for me to and I'm on a fibre gigabit plan and my system even though it's getting a bit old now still isn't a slouch.

5900x, 64gb of 3600 ram and a 3090 FTW3 running a balls out OC.

Something tells me unless they royally cocked up and don't have enough servers online that BF6 won't be as bad in the beta as BF 2042 was, that was horrible the first 8 months including the beta.

See I didn’t play 2042 till much later, so I had heard rumblings of people being upset, but I didn’t find any issues really

See the issue I got is battlefield fun with friends when you alone it gets meh cause you got Braindead donkeys having no clue how to shoot 🫤
