@crisp maple the issue is with EA, get the gane through steam and the controller will work, sometimes you can just plug and play, but what also works is the enable steam input for your controller.

Hey, thanks. I do have the game on Steam, and I have tried the controller with Steam Input enabled. This basically does the same thing as DS4Windows would. But if you found a way to make it work for you, I'm glad!

Thing is you have to make sure you dont add it as a non steam game, you'd have to download it from steam directly. It works 100% 5 of us was just in discord and we all have playstation 5/4 controllers and it worked for all

It is already activated if present. It is not like Secure Boot, which may require additional setup to make sure it passes all checks EA Anticheat wants.

BF6 wants extra steps besides just TPM 2.0 support with attestation.

It wants Virtualization Enabled, and Memory Integrity On as well.

Hello, I need help, advice, tips, or anything that will help me solve the problem. I start Battlefield V or Battlefield 2042 and it starts normally. Then, in the menu or on the loading screen, it freezes. Everything just freezes. The mouse doesn't work, the keyboard doesn't work. I can't Alt+Ctrl+Del. The only thing I can do at this point is to power off the computer. The problem started when BF2042 forced the use of Secure Boot (I enabled it, of course). Both games previously ran fine. I should add that my graphics drivers are updated, Windows 11 is installed, and all my computer components are no older than a year.

It should have already been enabled due to Windows 11 mandating it for the upgrade.

Additional checks are also required for it to pass, all tied to that Secure Boot is not enabled error message.

i played cod for about 13 years and have always been a sniper, its always been the most satisfying playstyle for me. i got bf2042 yesterday and i cant seem to get past 10 kills per game, i think the most i have had is 16. i try to position myself in high vantage points overlooking areas the enemy controls but i barely seem to see enemies and most of the time when i do, i get sniped from an unknown area before i can take a shot

You have to be a little more situationally aware than CoD is the big change. There's so much chaos going on that it's easy to tunnel vision and just wanna get a sick clip. Spend a couple of games trying to support your teammates until you get a feel for the maps, and then the kills will comes in no time.

Yeah I think that’s a major issue for me, there’s just so much going on but I feel lost because I don’t know what to do. Idk where to play in order to get the most impact for my team, so I tend to just run around the map and try to look into areas enemies control to get picks.

As I type this out, I’m starting to think it’s more effective to sit in areas the enemy doesn’t control yet since that’s where they have to push towards and by stopping them in the process, I have some form of impact on the game.

It is something to set in UEFI/BIOS settings, but know that 2042 also requires others check to be met beyond that Locks down the bootloader a little.

BF6 Wants even more. It wants: TPM 2.0, HVCI/Virtualization Enabled in UEFI/BIOS, and Memory Integrity On in Windows Security.

Only Windows 11-capable PCs and Ryzen 2000 (Ideally 3000) CPUs and up are supported by BF6. Even its Open Beta is bound to this.

Look, one guy reported a freeze for tens of minutes after doing the Platform Key Enrollment steps and accepting a prompt to also disable a XMP Profile in the process of that. Having it turned off in advance is advised to avoid that.

He got out of it by powering off the PC, powering it back on, and at least getting into the UEFI/BIOS to disable it manually, then saving and booting.

I believe it only executes and runs when the game's launch sequence starts. It will return to dormancy after the game is exited.

Similar to Easy Anti-Cheat. It will, however, expect no interference from anything when it is running. Or else.

It has its own separate Game Service process which only runs on game launch, but might hook into something that does run in the background all the time, which is the general EA (App) Background Service process.

if your experience any sort of crash always do the MS32info scroll all the way down in the notepad you will see diagnostic and errors go the last error and you will see what causing it to direct x error or any sort of error. there also another way open event viewer click windows logs then click system there you will find your critical, errors, warning etc click on the critical or error whatever yours is and read the description thats how you fix your issues. unsure if am allowed to say this or post this since techincially speaking its customer support job....

Guys I need some help. I was super excited for battlefield 6 to come out so I decided I wanted to play some 2042 that I had downloaded on my EA app on PC. I haven’t touched the game in awhile and played it before with a ps5 controller no problem but now when I tried to play it with that controller, all my controls are messed up making it unplayable because EA doesn’t support PlayStation controllers. I tried using DS4 but apparently now that’s blocked by their anti-cheat for some reason. I also bought battlefield V because it was on sale on the EA app and that didn’t work either. I even tried to download battlefield V (bought again) on my steam account to try to bypass the EA app but even then when I tried to open it up it’s saying I need to change my password on EA app even after I do so leaving me in a loop of resetting my password. After some digging apparently my steam EA account is already linked to another steam account that has an email that I’ve never heard of before but it won’t let me unlink it. I’ve sent an email to EA but who knows how long it’ll take for them to reply or if they’ll even help me. I’m at a loss at this point to be honest and I want to get this figured out before BF6 drops so any ideas would be appreciated. DM me if that’s easier

I bricked my pc last week for 13 hours because of secure boot. I'm not the only one, thats why @obsidian tide has been so busy in here helping people. The issue is if you have bitlocker enabled and enable secure boot it will encrypt your hard drives and your pc will be bluescreened at the minimum or in my case completely bricked, not even video out from the card or integrated graphics. You literally have to get into your command prompt using a bitlocker code from your Microsoft account, run cmds to disable bitlocker and then try again to enable secure boot. There are no tutorials online for this. And also as of right now nowhere does EA tell you to disable bitlocker before enabling secure boot.

All im saying is if your company requires the user to modify their bios to play your game, it isnt going to go smoothly. People who have it enabled by default, good for you, if you dont have issues enabling it, also good for you. But there is going to be an influx of people who, like me, follow EAs step by step instructions and brick their setup.

To regain access to my pc from the complete brick I had to flash my bios on my motherboard, and the button didnt work to flash because when you encrypt your drives, it encrypts the board. To flash my board I physically had to short two jumper pins with a screwdriver, that caused it to manually reset.

Not saying this will happen to everyone or the majority. I love battlefield and BF6 looks awesome. I wouldnt put myself through all this if I didnt want to play. But man you shouldn't have to modify your bios to play.

"In the name of security" is going to be used a lot. The craziest part is this will do very, very, very, little in regards to cheaters in their games. Not many cheats inject during the boot process, the only thing secureboot is "securing". Most cheaters nowadays run 3rd party software that isn't detected during boot phase.

This is coming from someone who has played ~6k hours in tarkov and seen all the work arounds people have used in that games anti cheat.

Make sure you are booting OK with CSM disabled before changing Secure Boot settings. People have bricked their system by following the wrong steps.

I also had it saying enabled not Active - this is a BIOS glitch it's not really enabled

On the secure boot settings if it says Mode:User you should be able to simply Enable Secure Boot

Otherwise (if it says Mode:Setup)

• Disable Secure Boot if it says Enabled

• If it says Standard change to Custom

• Change Custom to Standard accepting Factory Defaults

• Enable Secure Boot

The long lasting affect of secure boot on cheats in BF will be so minimal it wont matter. Cheat makers do not need to inject during the boot process, The only thing that secure boot protects. 3rd party cheats/hardware are still getting around it without issue.

So far so good. Disabled xmps and csm. On to step 2.

The best anticheats are a combination of diligent moderators and detection software. Relying too much on one or the other will cause problems.

There are confirmed cheaters after secure boot. It turns out that cutting the population of a game by a 1/3 also cuts down on cheaters who want to play it. All those examples have much, much, higher player counts and with the exception of tarkov, are probably close to the same proportion as 2042s.

Usually there are appeal denial emails, which will give a section of the EA Safe Play Agreement that was violated in them somewhere.

They exist with almost any support ticket filed over a ban dispute. Check Spam, Check Updates, check anywhere you can for them.

Fam i need Ur help 🙃 just installed 2042 to get used to bf mechanics (i only play cod) and sometimes my weapon only shots like 1 single shot... And no, its not on single fire mod, its full auto... Is there any setting that i can change to fix that?

How much fun I had when Battlefield 4 came out, when there was a browser server and a web page to configure your layout without starting the game. You could put the match map on the second monitor or smartphone. There was a smartphone app to compare and change the layout from your phone, chat with friends, and add them to your team, all from your phone. And the coolest thing was playing as Commander on an Android tablet while riding the bus or waiting in the park. It's a shame all these things don't exist anymore. Back then, Dice was the best for innovative ideas, but unfortunately, since consoles entered the world of Battlefield, all these things have been turned off. Unfortunately, because these things made Battlefield a way of life, I used to carry around a tablet so I could play Commander whenever I could. Now that they call it a platform Battlefield, I really miss these things, and they would be things that would make a difference and that the competition would never be able to do. It's a shame, I would really have loved playing on a bus or outdoors helping my friends as Commander. Those were good times, too bad the things mentioned above are no longer taken into consideration by today's team. Even so, I've already pre-ordered the Phantom Edition. 🤩 😍 #Battlefield_love

if you have trouble with secure boot, reset the bios, enable secure boot and disable CSM support. On my system there was no way that Window see Secureboot aktive, after seset the Bios, enable Secure boost (set to standard) and disable CMD Support. after that Windows says Secureboot is avtive and 2042 starts. Autohotkey ist not more allowed. Sigh, i used it to type a random phrase of 10, type thanks to people for reviving me in the Chat.

When I played as a soldier, I was very happy when the commander granted my requests, and as a commander, I tried to help my team as much as possible. If the other team doesn't have a commander, I can't do anything about it. 😄 It was the same in Bf2. 😄

I have some feedback for battlefield 6 and it hasn't even came out the beta isn't even out publicly...

If you want to play breakthrough or any equivalent you have to write a 50 million word essay on how breakthrough is played and you must be coherent and not repetitive in order for you to actually access it. Why you may ask? Because absolutely everybody goes into breakthrough expecting to play some form of Battle Royale type bs or call of duty except -5% of the population such as myself that actually have a mindset of the objective and play the objective

as @obsidian tide stated if you wanna play BF2042 use 25.3.1 no issues at all no errors nothing enjoy gaming amd users those that private messaged me about BF6 it required latest drivers whatever gpu you are on. unfortnately this is a right pain if you wanna play 2042 as example. so make sure you keep 25.3.1 backed up so you can switch back and fourths with DDU. when first launch BF6 make sure you have access to the number or email registered to the account since it asks you to verify yourself. rather message here instead of messaging you all individually. as for secure boot go to your bios and change the boot type from custom to UEFI no it will not brick your system those that are telling you it does are obvs lying to you and they done some other dodgy business inside the bios. any more questions i will get back to you when i can. goodnight!

Hello, I need your help. I have over 100 hours of gameplay in BF2042, and the game ran very smoothly with my RTX 4060 and AMD Ryzen 9 5600 at relatively high graphics. However, since the last update, I've been experiencing severe lag and FPS drops. Does anyone know why and could maybe help me?

Sounds like you got too much background processes going on and your system is struggling to handle it. Run a good anti virus use malware bytes, KVRT & hitman pro mate (free) and run all 3 once each one finished. Disable as many startup tasks also if it been very long time do a fresh windows install optimise your pc debloat so the processes is not running 200+ you should be able to get it to drop to 60 min (that’s what mine sits at) on W11 23H2 avoid 24h2 that’s known for bad performance! Also if you never flashed your bios check your bios if it out of date update it! You be surprised amount of issues it fixes.
