Just checked for fun in KeyShot but it's around 330W for the 3090 and 280W for the 4090. Those are GPU-Z numbers but I think it's funny the 4090 seems like a super efficient device compared to the 3090 ;)

GIGABYTE motherboards seem to require many extra steps before they can even attempt to use Pure UEFI and Secure Boot. Among others.

An entire thread was spent discovering that to be sure one gets the Platform Keys needed for it on a GIGABYTE board, before doing any other steps in the Secure Boot setup process, one must set Provision Factory Defaults to Enabled and a few other things.

SOLUTION FOUND. Disabling CMS (Compatibility Support Module) prevented me from seeing my (UEFI: I didnt know that this what the new bios is called) bios because I have a 1080ti that required a firmware update and CMS is what allowed it to see the (UEFI) bios??. I'm a noob. I sometimes update my drivers. I didn't also know I needed to update firmware. Updating my firmware allowed me to see my UEFI again and then enable safe boot with no problem.

Genuinely though this secure boot thing is fairly anti user lol. I understand what they are trying to do but folks on older hardware (which don’t support secure boot) or people who dual boot for work and such got screwed.

Supposedly, there is a threshold in which 2042's EA Anticheat version will pass users without Secure Boot set. However, this is a very old threshold where the system does not have UEFI options, and can only use MBR.

If the system is able to set UEFI boot options, and the drive uses GUID Partition Table (GPT), then it will impose the check.

Whenever I get around to creating a Steam Compendium Guide, I will add a thing for how to check if a drive uses Master Boot Record or GUID Partition Table already, as there is a way to do it within the OS that has just been found. Via right-clicking on C:/ or other drives, going to Properties, then Hardware, then I believe Properties or Change Settings there, and the Volumes tab.

Dual-boot users are still screwed over, though.

Due to an issue with the "Spectre" skin for the XFAD-4 Draugr that was recently added in the Mass Effect bundles, we have disabled it. The skin will temporarily be removed from the Scoped & Dropped and Citadel bundles. Players who have purchased the skin will receive a 300 BFC refund at a later date.

Once the issues with the skin have been resolved we'll bring it back to the store as a free purchase for a limited time within the in-game store.

Working on 2042 is likely dead money for them ATM. With its playerbase its hard to imagine it makes much profit

ADSing won’t make your FOV the default. It shouldn’t change at all from your set FOV if enabled

Unless dice broke something else again it should be noticeable once you tinker with it a bit

If FOV is higher than 55 Vertical, ADS FOV On will make optics behave in line with the fixed universal FOV.

Yes. Its version of EA Anticheat now checks for and mandates UEFI Secure Boot, and a pure Windows UEFI boot configuration.

Some (Tens or Hundreds of) Windows 10 users, even with its specific parameter enabled, still reported failing the check on launch. This is because EA Anticheat also checks for additional parameters to be set as well.

The anticheat expects it to be set to boot exclusively in Windows UEFI mode or similar.

What do you mean by "OS type parameters"? Secure boot is on and the only things I've touched in the UEFI was fan curves, set a liquid cooled profile for auto overclocking, and enabled whatever the setting is called to be able to use a mobile emulator. I have tried launching 2042 with my normal stuff in the back ground and I have also tried launching it after having end tasked every non essential background process with the exception of EA, discord, and my audio software

I do not have fast boot on, and I default to UEFI not bios...

Oh, uh, on GIGABYTE boards, one could set it to boot as either Windows UEFI, or Other OS. With Windows UEFI being the way to make it pass the check if Secure Boot Standard was already used.

I keep getting countered hard before I get some nice score lines

it doesn't seem to do substantial damage to vehicles, I've maybe had 30-35 damage bombings on the heavier vehicles at best

it's decent-ish but a precise bombing exposes me heavily, and when you realize a lissile does 27 to the same target ...

and now I have pondhawks with Lis on the back chasing me
