Hey I'm trying to play 2042 on my PC with an Xbox controller (just for flying helos), and the right trigger always opens the chat box for some reason, even though it's not mapped to that. It momentarily does that and then will execute the actual mapping, throttle up. I have googled around a ton and only have found people with the same issue but no resolution. I am playing 2042 through the EA app not steam or origin, whatever that is. Does anyone have any tips for me with this? I've changed the controller scheme to various configurations to no avail

I also changed the keyboard mapping of opening the chat box in case there was some weird interference with RT but it still happens

ive also had the primary weapon not work for holding to fire. like one bullet would come out of machine gun when holding the trigger. and letting go and repressing wouldn't exactly work either. i haven't had that in a long while so really sorry I can't remember how or if I did anything to resolve it.

@lavish verge I just googled about it and there's a Reddit thread with the same problem suggesting alt tabbing out then going back in is one possible fix. Also playing in window borderless as well. Another suggestion was changing the controller mapping to custom. Dunno if you've tried those suggestions 🤷🏻‍♂️

so you are stuck in short, the EA app does not have support for controller schemes, only steam, you can get around this by installing steam and adding the game to the library manually, but there's not much you can do outside this to have it working properly

its funny now I'm having a weird thing happen. when i spawn the chopper there's a slight delay before i have control. usually this is my controller's been unplugged and after i plug it back in theres a delay just like i'm having now but the controller is plugged in. still better than what you've got going on. i know, i've been there.

It is very difficult to find more than 2 sticking together 3 oh 4 this is in your dreams, but the reality is, if you have a 4 team truly syticking together even with mixed roles or not they are undefeatable because almost like you said 95% of people do not stick together.

Wildcats are supposed to try and prevent their team getting farmed by aircraft

Tors are supposed to prevent their teams being farmed by ground vehicles and sometimes aircraft

When both of these two sit in a spawn miles away from any action and enemy vehicles/aircraft they become pretty useless for their team and ultimately it ends up in their team getting farmed by ground vehicles and aircraft.

The amount of times I've been in a team that's being absolutely farmed by a draugr and the wildcat is just in the back of the spawn trying to hit shots from 100's of meters away is ridiculous.

There is very little you can do.
The bans are not looked at by anyone even if you appeal.
There has been a number of threads reccently, including my own, where random bans have been given.
Their so -called anti cheat system is broke. I played 3 rounds having not loaded up the game in a long time. Banned !
My stats: keep in mind I have played battlefield for over 20 years since BF1942 and never had an issue.
