I was a right flyboy in previous BFs (especially bf2, bf 3 and bf4 less so.) but not really at all in 2042, the planes never felt right, Quite like the helis nowadays, transport helis too (I wish the guns [ or gunners?] were better on them.. I quite like being a supportive role. Recon stuff and spotting, mid range sniping (never camping at the back getting 3 kills per game) , tracerdart/proxmine/spawnbeacon/soflam etc. The lack of direct teamplay and awareness on 2042 grinds my gears. Played a game earlier where despite me saying in chat multiple times to use RPG etc not ONCE did someone hit something i was soflamming - and the vehicles were absolutely wrecking us.

Finally figured out how to make M5A3 useful in mid long ranges 🥰

You just need to microburst without changing the setup

High power or lowering RPM seems useless tbh, it's better to microburst with close range setup

God,I hate the AI in this game so much when it comes to vehicles, it's unreal.

Just trying to get some kills with a LATV4 recon

But these utterly braindead either start completely failing at hitting anything, or they cannot go 2 seconds without driving out of the place you put the car in and boy do they never stop driving.

OF course the "GET OUT" command does not do anything either, despite it working in the past in other Battlefield games.

Every time it happens I just drive the LATV so far off the map that the bots in it will just explode.

It's not even a reasonable thing to do

are there jet only servers to play practice in?

Side note Ubisoft is doing something that sounds good (for once). Crossplay between console is gonna be default but if you want to play with pc friends you can, except you get put in pc lobbies. So pc cannot play on console servers but console can play on pc which sounds like the best possible use of crossplay.

Battlefield 2042 non crossplay servers are basically death. Battlefield 5 looks shitty with those skins and immersion breaking and Battlefield 1 is great but not my favorite timeline and also not that populated anymore ofc to find a lobby whenever you like. Sad sad…never imagined myself not being down to play some Battlefield.

I litteraly had tears in my eyes watching the Battlefield 1942 opening cinematic as a child as my very first game on my first brand new PC from playing with toy soldiers to that was a Dream coming real xD.

Yes playing controller vs controller is fine, same hardware evens the playing field.

As an ex pc gamer close to 20 years since childhood, playing shooters on pc with mouse and keyboard, better visuals, performance and so on is just vastly superior…and no, aim assist is no help at all esp on anything that isn’t close range encounters.

If you use crawford you get an extra rocket. You can also take the AT grenade as engineer (I still prefer smoke though) and a weapon with the 40mm AP underbarrel grenade launcher. The SFAR, AK5C, AK-24, SVK, LCMG, an DFR Strife all have it, there could be more too. If you take the AT grenade, a 40mm launcher on your weapon, and the RPG/M5, you will get one of each when you do find an ammo box and even if you don't, you will have a lot more damage. The 2 40mm grenades you get when you spawn are about equal to one RPG in damage, and the AT grenade is just above another half RPG of damage.
