I began to hate Stadium due to my teammates, how the hell can you get spawnkilled for over 10 minutes in a map that has 2 spawns and 253623 different flanking routes?!

Everyone rushes to their death at the top floor instead of going 1 or 2 floors below and flanking enemies, or just spawning outside the stadium and capture A or B

Ok i have a very odd issue with the game and I cannot for the life of me figure out whats wrong. I managed to get it working earlier today where I played 2 games of 128 conquest, but before that and now after I get crashes on when loading the match on 128 conquest, and on 64 ill play for a minute or two, then I get 2 stutters a couple of seconds apart, and then the game crashes again.

Has anyone experienced this and know something I can try? Ive tried cache clearing EA app, reinstalling both EA app and the game itself on steam but it still doesnt work.

If I validate it almost always tells me 3 files failed to validate, and its always the same 3 because the subsequent download is always like 29.9MB

DXR but I personally don't like it, my favorite is XCE Bar due to insane fire rate, got like 10 kills with it back to back despite low projectile speed and bullet drop. Rorsch is also a sniper rifle which makes DXR obsolete imo.

I read a comment on a YouTube video for one of BF1's themes. It read:

And I think that sums up why 2042 lacks so much immersion. You spawn as a specialist, you see them and hear them. You die as them. But a few seconds later you're back, alive and breathing despite just being bombed to bits. If the next Battlefield can recapture that quote, I think it will do well.

BF4 for example has a lot of variety of combat, not just with how the maps play and feel, but also the type of combined arms combat you will even do.

In BF4, one map may be heavily air vehicle based, another will be naval combat, another heavy emphasis on tank to tank combat. Each map also had a set amount, and type of vehicles to suit the theatre of combat.

In 2042, every map has close to the same combat variety and type. Almost all use the exact same vehicles, just with slightly different vehicle availability (Some maps will allow 3 tanks, other 2...ETC) Resulting in matches feeling very similar/not unique.

Thats not great ping. Since you're joining dedicated servers. If you're used to playing with that ping in other games I dont think it would be any worse here. I'm not a ping snob, if you can play you can play.

If you look on portal for example you can filter the ping and its generally based on what server the game is hosted on in the world in reference to your location.

When you matchmake outside of portal its automatically putting you in the closest lobbies to you for the best ping.

Bradley and BMP-2 have been part of Portal since launch but now they're being added to all-out warfare as vault vehicles like the Blackhawk was some months ago.

Fingers still crossed we'll get A-10 and Su-25 added as well eventually.

Expecting a "true" prequel to 2142 with a game that's a century before is kind of wild. A lot of things can happen in that time. A "true" prequel to 2142 would be something taking place closer to the year 2142.

Honestly I think if DICE wanted to tell a narrative through seasons, I think it could work if they just added seasonal cinematics that would tell the story. Kinda like that Exodus short film we got before launch, do something like that at the beginning and/or end of each season and you could perfectly tell like a long term grand narrative that way.

Portal is a neat idea although as much it sucks to hear, full freedom to do anything doesn't seem to really work out. People just end up making XP farms and if you take out XP, the service dies. So I'd say the only option is moderation, approval process or heavily limited set of tools.

Battlelog was cumbersome, but had lots of cool functionality. It would be cool for a future game to bring back platoons/clans, and have a way to organize and schedule clan v clan matches.

Also it would probably have to be something like Battlelog though because If Battlefield would launch like normal game with its in-game server browser and matchmaking but you'd then have a community hub on the side in browser, I'm not sure if it would be as successful. I think what made Battlelog work with its features was because it was that cumbersome process, it forced you to launch the game through it but at the same time you were always exposed to its features, like clans and platoons, so you ended up using them. But if they're separate entities, I'm not sure if it would work as well, unless all those clan/platoon features were implemented in-game.

But I do agree that clans/platoons need to come back in some way or form.

I would assume the Bradley will be a good support squad vehicle. Sit up on a hill to provide overwatch support vs the Brawlers more direct into the action design and the wildcat mainly being for anti-air
