HZ was a fail, when it had to work on the same maps as the core modes. Only way an extractin game would work is if it used separate large maps.

128 players was a fun idea but its just not very practical to design your game around, if there was like one or two dedicated 128p maps in a conquest large mode

I don't hate Battlefield 2042. I've been playing the game since launch until Season 7. What really bothers me (and this is something I've critizied several times) is the lack of playable content and the way this live service works by adding/removing playlists and so on. It pains me to see that a game experience like Portal (which was supossed to be a love letter to the fans) hasn't received a single, classic map or faction since launch. It had a lot of potential.

the consoles have innate higher latency than the pc platform because they can only run at 60 frames, there isn't much you can do as the hardware in the consoles is severely weak for (these types) of games

assuming you're using ethernet which is the only real "thing" you can do to improve perceptible lag

I honestly usually never use aim assist as it yes pulls my stick down without touching but with it makes it hard to to control it when someone is moving especially with some of the movment in this game the aim assist slows your aiming down making it even harder to hit headshots.

There is no way or workaround this at all. Many people tried to bypass it to T1. Your hard capped once huh you have attachments with bots only

yes, but it kills portal servers, as people want to play with full XP, but if you add bots to your server you are limited, so the server dies when players leave

its like they had a good idea to keep servers populated, but then botched it because of some need to protect the sanctity of unlock speed, which is a fiasco anyway as the game was balanced by a mongoose

their main aim currently should just be to retain players, and offer as much fun as possible, and that should include supporting and inviting people playing how they want to play, rather than forcing them into one meatgrinder lobby on the front page

I don’t think the fanbase is fractured, there is definitely a consensus that people want the old class system and no specialist/operator quirk, 64 players max, should not cost 60-70+ dollars at launch if it is not functional

There are some nitpicks and personal preferences, yes, but there’s a clear image of what most of the community wants and it’s pretty simple

And no, specialists do not fit the formula at all. It’s a clear move to fit into other franchises and standards that works in BF just enough for plausible deniability. Idk what Bad Company and Hardline did to be examples but that would partly explain why Hardline was a commercial and reception failure. BC idk, those came out in a totally different era of the fps genre

I was playing bf 2042(xonex version) on xbox one x and i had completed all the achievements there and now i switched to x series x and i bought bf 2042 (xseriesx version) and when i started playing the first game all the achievements i unlocked started popping up but one didn't open. I don't know why it didn't unlock it because in the previous version I had it unlocked.

Hot take: I dislike the plus system and amounts of customizations weapons has, not exclusive to 2042 but to all modern shooter, reason: they all make the weapons samey, there is no need to use P90 with 50 round mag or Bizon with 64 round mag when you can slap a 50 round drum mag to an MP5 or to a Vector. Weapons feels less unique and more generic which is funny because customization should've allowed weapons to be unique.

The infantry combat in my match was pretty good but that's probably because 2 of the 3 enemy tanks didn't leave their spawn

2 tanks each team and remove the tor would be ideal for me personally
