Another really good operator is Zain because his intrinsic perk is that after you kill someone, he automatically heals himself.
Furthermore, his airburst is designed to tickle people behind cover, so when you push and they hide, you can still reach them. Plus if you push through smoke like on redacted to break the line, and you get behind them and start mopping up, the healing keeps you afloat and more aggressive.

It’s more about playing the objective and winning the match. If you have a terrible KD but it’s because you’re in an AA all match fending off a high skill helicopter player, you’re doing your job and the team will win because of your sacrifice.

From my experience much of the competitive community will judge you on KD, however much of the authentically skilled community will judge you on the priorities that go through your mind when you play.
True skill will vibe because they know how to play the game properly, and that might be a match full of laying on top of a tank with a repair tool, but your team will win.

However keep in mind this is battlefield centric. I couldn’t speak on COD, or other FPS, because I decided they’re not as fun games.

Show your skill, use smoke grenades when you revive friendlies!

I guess it depends on the game mode. Deathmatch KD makes sense. But Conquest and Breakthrough, these are much team goals oriented and while I may die a thousand deaths, if it allows my team to get the objectives done (defend or Attack or Hold Sectors) then it gets the job done

Battlefield 2042 Jesus Christ, what an absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a game. I don’t think I’ve ever played something this poorly optimized. My PC specs are well above the recommended requirements, and yet I’m getting constant lag, crashes, and the game feels slow, like I'm gaming on a brick. Even with just 4 ping, there’s a ridiculous amount of lag that makes it feel like a relic from the Stone Age. It’s just unplayable.

And don’t get me started on the gameplay. It’s a massive, chaotic mess with no clear direction or purpose. What is this game even supposed to be about? Each map feels like a random collection of locations where you’re just wandering around aimlessly. And to make things worse, they’ve thrown in maps from old Battlefield games. Ran out of new ideas? It feels like they just slapped together some recycled content to buy time. What a disgrace.

The graphics are flat-out embarrassing. Battlefield used to be known for impressive visuals, but this? This looks like a five-year-old game, only worse. The textures are blurry, animations are clunky, and explosions look fake. Even simple things like shadows and lighting effects seem cheaply done. How did they have the nerve to release it in this state?

Then there are the bugs and glitches—enough to drive anyone insane. Whether it’s vehicles sinking through the ground, soldiers randomly disappearing, or weapons that glitch and won’t respond, the game is full of technical disasters. It feels like nothing was properly tested. This is just a waste of my time and money.

Overall, Battlefield 2042 feels like a failed cash grab with zero passion or attention to quality. This is not the standard Battlefield fans are used to, and it seems the developers have completely lost touch with their loyal players. What a sad display.

Get better at being aware of other snipers and their positions. Scope glint isnt the only sign. In fact if the glint is showing it may be already too late for you to try to range them, reposition instead of allowing them the shot priority
As someone who regularly countersnipes being aware of where they are before you even scope in is paramount especially with the low recoil/bullet drop in 2042 from the high power setups like the DXR.
Additionally you dont always need to perch up and lay down on the tallest structure. There are perfectly good shots you can make from a standing position.
So many times my countersnipes are also stuck to the same 5m space and refuse to go anywhere else but that one ledge. Fire a shot, reposition to somewhere out of LOS from someone who could be looking at you. Give plenty of time to get to full health and lose the spot as well

Could also benefit from learning strategies such as slicing the pie with your view. Dont jump out of a corner, only expose yourself to the sightline you need to engage one target instead of opening yourself to the whole map

Here’s my biggest problem, I can get spot and damage assists and can somewhat revive people at a decent rate which means I get a high-ish score but that doesn’t feel great to me when I still die a ton.

I want to die less but that feels impossible when sniping is difficult as all hell, Assault Class can be gunned down whilst trying to survive, Medic has good survivability but an SMG (the gun I choose to run) can only get so much range and LMGs feel like they have awful TTKs?
