Actually started playing this 2042, put like 1200ish hrs into the game after i was actually able play it... but never got hooked the same way I did with BF2 for example.

Beside the fact I was a kid back then, but I literally only played that game. Nothing else. Just BF2.

Then BF3, then BF4. Nothing else.

But ever since the fall of EA/DICE and the whole BF franchise, I started playing SQUAD, where I really found my next ganra, but that one actually require to use your brain in differnt terms than just muscle memory and reflexes.

I can't squad lead more than 4 games, because I get freaking exhausted like hell. But other people tend to be asswipe as SL w/o any basic rules for their squad, for their squadmember whatever...

And you know... Sometimes I do want to have some fun in an arcade game where I can piss on 99% of the players because even on my most tired day, due the fact I grew up on this game, still gonna be better than my whole lobby.

And it does feel good, specially after a long ass workday. And just switch off my brain and boom, playin on autopilot and enjoying it.

But beside 2042, I dont see any other game which could give me this, except MAYBE(!) Delta Force in early december... will see. 😄

I find hard to control the recoil at big dinstances with some on them, also i dont have all the guns and i am trying to unlock a good rifle, i find it easy to aim with the smg but it doesnt have range. You have to hit the enemy hit box. Strafing reduce accuracy a lot more than other games. Crouching increase accuracy a lot more than other games

You probably playing too fast. Sprint to ADS speed is slower in BF than other games and you're really punished for sprinting at the wrong time. Try to focus more on holding angles, anticipating engagement and positioning yourself more

Finals and Cod are a lot more sweaty in the sense of just sprint and movement as fast as you can, dodge everything and shoot as much as you can. Bf has a lot more realistic but clunkier movement that punishes that kind of behavior

I would try to imagine if you were playing real life airsoft or something. You have limited dmenergy and you would be deliberate and thoughtful about your movements.

Movement is still very much incentivised, but bf is far more about managing angle exposure and not revealing yourself to too many people. Given the map sizes and engagement ranges you have to sort of use cover to claim an angle as your own, clear it, then take another slice to clear

Not really as necessary in cod as it’s more so 1v1s or 3v3s with the occasional third party, but in bf you could have 6 people looking at you across 200 degrees from 20-400m

In 1v1s on even footing it’s just a matter of reaction time, movement usage and aim, but over a larger timeframe you need to be far more cautious

Watch any good player and you will see that whenever they turn a corner they are looking at every possible angle someone could be, be it a common or rare spot, to confirm that nobody is there and move on, killing them if they are. Essentially you want to move so that you only face one enemy at a time

But that also doesn’t mean you have to play slow. Can jiggle peek for quick info as you do in other games, but in this you have to be really cautious about the grander scale

Learning the maps also helps, especially in Conquest. It helps to know where players will hide, where they spawn as a flag defender, ETC. It also helps to position yourself with cover between your position, and flags owned by the enemy

While this wont necessarily improve the amount of kills youll get, it will increase your player alive time, which as a result gives you more time to get kills

I know when I’m learning any game or map I will always make a mental note of where I get killed from, and ensure to check that spot as if someone was there every time. Slowly you get a picture for the chances of someone being there based on the match flow and boom, progress

No, imo.
Its indeed powerful (kills in usually 2 shots), but you need to be essentially motionless to actually hit anything, which I'm not a fan of. You only get 3 optics, a 1.25 nydar sight, 2x Scope, and a 6x scope, which is understandable given the age of the gun (but I wish it was modified to use more sights, seen it done in other games)

i have the same sort off it depends on which map, aswell as indeed your specs, wether on console and which console version or your pc/laptop specs > do know that laptop has lower specs even if it says that it is the same processor or GPU they both have lower benchmarks as normal PC specs

it depends on the maps aswell as your connection and in which mode etc, some modes are heavier such as C128 compared to the size of C64 or in other case TDM cause of the case load
