You hack an enemy, it reveals them briefly. You use this to shoot them, and then it reveals their squadmates for about 7 seconds. But their squadmates can be anywhere so it's not always helpful.

Great question: The reasoning is that in order to make use of Rao's hack on infantry, you need to be standing within 100 meters of the target. This is also about the limit of the effectiveness of ARs most of the time unless you're doing potshots with single fire. Playing Rao and hacking infantry more often puts you in this specific range you want to be in for this challenge, since you also don't really want to be right in front of someone while you're fiddling around on your computer on your arm. So doing the routine of hack-kill, hack-kill, means you'll more often be at the right range to get points towards this challenge

from all the gameplay I watched it seems fun

It took 1.5 years to get to an acceptable standard for a BF game. It lacks/lacked content (Maps), for the entirety of its lifecycle.

Finally, it lacks a lot of core features which sustained past games once their support was ended, like a server browser for official modes/servers.

Once player numbers drop, 2042 matchmaking in a lot of regions will probably become difficult.

I would say play with AI bots and use the snipers alot. There's actually a way to see how to progress faster if you look in the weapons load out using a character (casper, for instance) and you look at the NTW, it gives you like two missions to complete and that's what gives you the gun

It just depends bro. Sometimes they are, but imagine you're sniping someone but you can't see their sniper glint, so you don't know they're sniping too. It gets annoying 🪦
