It's got a jammer that behaves like below radar, blocking vehicle locks but not infantry.

The intention is that you go in for a strafe, and use it before you get close, therefore strafe pacing is balanced around the cooldown rather than being permanently safe due to flares

Teamplay makes it a good combo that can win rounds and balances it out

To be perfectly honest, teamplay has mostly always just been a byproduct of people’s selfish nature. Supports put down ammo to resupply themselves, that happens to give others ammo. I’d say a good 50% of the playerbase most likely just use those support gadgets on themselves.

Which is unfortunate because matches could go so much better if more people made better use of them

People for example complain about the vehicle balance in this game but past games with way more powerful vehicles had a alot more active players. Its probably the fact they look to get the cod community onto the game which have no idea what a fair mix of vehicles infantry and support is (aka battlefield)

Like, I will throw down smokes to aid in pushes, drop crates in hotspots and heal whenever I can, but I do it because it’s what we need to do to win, others need some form of stat gain or physical reward to want to do it

Yeah idk, it feels like people are more focused on the most kills than the actual goal of winning rounds. If I play jet I try taking out vehicles as they are a major threat to infantry players or stop pushes / kill people that capture flags. Well, at a high level overview, the act of supporting has the goal of aiding with kills, so they ultimately go hand in hand. But the main reason why is simply the fact that a kill is more challenging, with the reward being the innate satisfaction of having beaten someone else. Healing crates are just a one button toss. While you and I feel that innate satisfaction of reinforcing that front line to support the match, people who don’t have that intrinsic push probably see it as a waste of time, and would rather pursue the more mentally and statistically rewarding ‘just kill’ mentality

depends on what you want to do

On the order of simple to complex:

1. Blasco. You put down a infiltration beacon which makes a bubble where you and your allies can't be spotted. Enemies lose their minimap when inside. Just set and forget.
2. Paik. You press 3 and get basic wall hacks. It tells everyone when you're looking at them. If you shoot someone it spots them. Not terribly complicated.
3. Casper. Low skill floor, higher ceiling than Paik. You have a drone you can use to scout around. You also get a motion detector to know when people are nearby. If you want to get interesting with it you can constantly be moving back and forth between drone and Casper to find where people are and get the jump on them. But most people just sit in the drone the whole time.
4. Rao. Low floor, but the ceiling is MASSIVE. The hack does so much stuff it's hard to describe in just a short paragraph. Most people use it to hack vehicles and disrupt them but it does so much more.

Those joke sandbox elements were a nice seasoning to the franchise. That's why they need to stop with the whole new engine thing and just sell the old games back to us with new graphics, features and gameplay/balancing. This latest frostbite engine with all the bugs is not it.
