One players immersion may be tied to how era accurate the weapons are...when for another player (Like me) that doesnt really matter, or factor into them being immersed in an experience.

Campaign also helps to ground the multiplayer in a defined setting and reality, which helps the multiplayer have an identity. 2042 tried to do this with its season to season narrative...which I dont think really worked all that well.

But you do reference it in MP. It sets up the theaters of war (Maps, locations and state of the world), the factions, the era, the weapons and vehicles (Both mechanically and visually)...then you can use occurrences from the SP to intro the maps/locations in MP.
Like for example...BF4 used the nuke that went off in BF3 SP...to create a narrative around the second assault maps/metro. Similar could be done here.

RPG does the most damage, M5 has the most ammo but does slightly less damage. You get extra ammo when playing as Crawford. Lis gets a TV missile which is way better than SRAW, which also allows you to take C5/mines at the same time. Boris is useless, ignore them 😄

Boris turret is both anti player and anti vehicle...but its an auto turret which you have no control over targeting. Its incredibly inconsistent with what it aims at, if it aims at anything and the amount of damage it does is incredibly low.
You are better off to use Crawford, as his turret can also kill vehicles and infantry...but it is manually aimed/fired, and can be used by you or anyone on your team once placed (Also the enemy team, so be careful)

I use his turret on vehicles all the time. ITs useful cos vehicles when hit by a rocket usually APS or smoke...and in that time you can usually do 5-10 damage in a short period.
Map depending, it can also be used effectively on helis.

I would much prefer internal tank repair work like it did in BFV/1 TBH. I hate this "Press a button to magically heal 40% armor" thing. AKA...needing a repair tool to be able to repair (BF1) and/or repairing a tank was a slow process, that also redeuced mobility (BFV)

IMO, almost every change (Content releases withstanding) they have made post 2042 release has been a good one for the game/franchise. All of those things happened after this leadership change.
We obviously got very little content we wanted in 2042 (Maps) but the decisions made on the core of the game, were pretty much the best they could have done to fix what came at launch.

just checked and apparently there isn’t, googled your issue and it’s similar to other issues but couldn’t find it exactly, i’d recommended checking out your EA app settings and swapping to “custom” mapping mode in the bf2042 game settings
are you using wired or wireless connection? and did you set up your controller into steams menu or just through your devices bluetooth?

MX-5 and Corolla are probably the best starting cars; they handle so well you can basically win almost every type of event. The MX-5 is bad for drag races, though. Corolla is not much better, but it does have a high ceiling for performance once fully upgraded.
I'm surprised that the game would exclude cars like the Honda S2000, Chevy Cavalier, Dodge Neon, etc.
rn I'm doing the all-Ford challenge. Maybe next run I'll use the Corolla or MX-5 exclusively.

- flying low is obviously a defensive trick with the trade off of bringing you closer to launcher users. and Lis missile is so noisy you can hear it from a like kilometre away. If you're dying to lis missile, I feel like you deserved it. I can dodge those things in the hind, a fat (but fairly maneuverable) chopper
- And just like tip #1, you too should be paying attention to the threats that will take you down. Pilot and gunner aim together
There are a few nightbird sweats who seem strong but they're really only as strong as anyone who aims good and uses the nightbird properly. What makes them sweaty is it seems like they need the nightbird or they're doomed in any other fight lol, so you see them in it all the time haha

Jets IMHO need to have their own setting for boost behavior...and it be set to HOLD by default.
I always wondered why flying jets in this game felt so bad...and this was why. Default boost behavior is set to toggle boost...but to stop using afterburners on jets, you need to slow down. If you set to hold, you instead can stop pressing the boost button to maintain max normal speed, but boost when you need to

I mean you're just ousting yourself as someone who can't deal with a certain weapon category. Some snipers and utilities are 1 shots bodies. Some assault rifles can do higher DPS than some DMRs. DMRs don't need a buff or a nerf. Actual skill issue

I still think stealth helis are a bit too squishy lol the ttk for them is about the same as the quads/atvs around the map which is kind if silly imo.
I don't really think its a health issue, theyre kinda slow/more slower to respond to corrections. And they have the weird return to neutral flight mechanic that you have to correct constantly. Its more maneuverability than anything i think

The idea of not having to worry about specific weapons / gadgets on specific players just seems like easy mode pandering. The game already gives you the land star when someone scopes in on high magnification lol. And pretty much anyone can throw a C5 or a mine now anyway.

I run smokes on all classes, so revives are easy. I always try to revive a downed squad mate if im in range

I teach people in my squad the unspoken lesson. I revive them maybe once or twice, but then if I see them making a silly mistake like peeking someone they just can't out shoot. I will prone next to them and literally shake my players head

I play conquest so the objective overall is to try to win via out capping and out point scoring from taking out other players. I understand that reviving refunds a ticket so when I'm on Irish I do try to revive people in objectives or with great positions. But I also don't carry smokes because I'd rather carry claymore and shut down an area for a free 10 points when someone walks into it or atleast slow down a advancement somewhere
I run incediary tossed grenade so I can break encampments, burn out camps, block advancements and even obscure for some revives
But if you're way out there pinging for a revive and it's not in my squad doing a great job and I gotta cross "The gauntlet" to get to you, that's your grave now lol

I feel like that question has a loaded issue. The whole game is a gun fight unless you're playing like a melee only mode in some fashion. Movement, aim, tactics etc are all part of gun fights and all of that is normal. If there's a gun category you like that you want to to beat others with, just use it better. Every category has shortcomings that you have to manage with to thrive with it. And ARs as good as they are do get beat out by some other categories in the closest range battles and definitely in longer range ones.

For example, the slightly more complex case of light machine guns, they might seem underpowered but the user is trading a nice fairly high power magazine and mobile weapon platform (assault rifle) for a tonne of rounds that adds the real world concept of suppression (which was turned into a blur effect in BF3 in a weird twist lol). A machine guns amount of bullets means that the opponent can't move and has a more difficult time doing what they want to do (assault/advance). Even so, matchup wise in the game anyone can out aim and DPS anyone else with any other weapon category even if the stats are shifted in the other's favour provided they aim and react faster/better. In 2042 machine guns were made extra accurate and had their damaged nerfed somewhat to make ARs the mainstay since there doesn't seem to be a mobility debuff of any sort for picking a machine gun. (ADS speed was the only thing they tried to make the weight reflect on and... yeah that affects the fight's slightly but definitely not enough to make it NOT a nearly balanced fight with ARs or other weapon categories)
