I would hate if they backtrack on the freedom of choice to the next battlefield. That's one of the big +'s in my view, being able to take any character with any weapon combo. There's still some restrictions on what gadgets you can take.

Like for example if you had the likes of weapons that perform like the AK5C or AM40 all class available, then have locked weapons for your classes, it still allows a specific playstyle with any class, but allows you to better balance weapons/classes, etc.

Weapon choice can often be situational. Like, if I play Irish on a very open map vs redacted for example, I might pick different weapons. Sometimes I'll switch weapon if the situation changes, I might need some automatic shotgun action if things get to messy for example. But I might still want to use the same class so I can keep reviving my teammates.

IMO it's a double edged sword in 2042. You have all these cool things you can do with specialists, gadgets and weapons, but then you need to make maps to allow those things tho occurs. Past games just game us maps and let us do our thing in the sandbox. IMO them trying to manufacture "ONLY IN BATTLEFIELD" moments made such moments less special.

Yeah, quite the contrast from the chaos that happens sometimes... What hooked me when I first jumped in was actually rush xl, just insane chaos... Then I was surprised when it went away, and started playing primarily breakthrough, but now I do about 50/50 between them, depending on what's featured.

I find that weapon to have too much initial recoil, which makes it hard to control. ITs OK with bursts, but other weapons require far less work/control to have the same/better effectiveness
