I'd rather use the avancys as they both share a similar rate of fire. Avancys with a faster reload, the ability to run underbarrels, etc.

2042 works badly on cpus with no SMT/HT.
Ironically, limiting the amount of cores it can use will make it run better.
In the case of this 9700, limiting to 6/7 cores as the max allowed will make it run significantly better.
The reason it runs better (On some systems) when you enabled RT AO is that you are introducing a GPU bottleneck, which is taking load off the CPU. (Because you can't use more than 100% of the gpu)

Hey all! I have a problem with the game. I came back after a long hiatus, same settings as before (on pc) and my mouse skips across the screen when in game and jumping is also delayed. In the menus my escape key doesn't work immediately, but only works after like 3 presses. Does anyone have a fix for this?

If any CMs are seeing that right now, I just have 2 things that I would really love to see in Battlefield 2042 before the end of the support :
n°1 : buffing the bad weapons, the ones that need buffing the more are the AK24, the M416 and the P90.
n°2 : Adding 1x sights or the possibility to put in 1x the 1.25x ones that are already in the game (I think that is a better idea than adding new sights because I think it requires less work). What I mean by 1x sight is just a sight that don't zoom at all (like in BF4/BF1/BFV for example)

This CPU is 16 cores, but only 8 of them have the 3D cache. So when I run 2042 it only uses CCD0. CPU is 120W, so half of that being 60...the results I see make sense.

hard to know what youre talking about, but weird blur/ghosting can happen with dlss. iirc its still a problem with 2077
