Vehicles, specifically are less of an issue when your map isnt flat (Like 90% are in 2042), and you cant see from one side to the other.

On a map like Exposure (One of the few with proper verticality and height/terrain difference) high vehicle counts are mostly fine.

Golmund shown here is also fine...as its a hilly map, where A and B are the top of the hill, and when you spawn a tank/AA at (For example) CN deployment, you cant see the vehicles/infantry directly at A, B, C, D, F or E flags due to sight line blockers....AKA...good map design.

This map basically has a topographical layout something like this...so you can see how it has well designed sightlines for flags/movement

The topography for A, B and C area is wrong, but you get the idea. 😄

I have discovered something that has potentially impeded this game for years, but was fixed.

This game does not interact well with a specific Windows display setting.

Fix Scaling for Apps.

This setting, found under Settings, System, Display, Advanced Display Scaling, normally only induces a small, but slightly annoying amount of system latency and overhead. This is due to how its means of ensuring DPI awareness works, in that the Windows OS will intercept draw calls to manipulate their scaling.

However, in some cases, this overhead is too much to bear, and Battlefield 2042 is no exception. Under the right conditions, having Fix Scaling in Apps enabled will cause the game to fail to perform first-time launches. This manifests as an Infinite Seasonal Startup Loading Screen, with the game never getting past it to Connect to Online Services. This is extremely annoying and time-wasting for players, and a refundable kind of game-breaking bug.

To fix it manually:

1. Go to the Start Menu, and open the Settings app for Wondows.

2. Inside Settings, go to System.

3. Inside System, click on Display.

4. Under Display, click on Advanced Display Scaling.

5. If Fix Scaling for Apps, or the toggle for Let Windows Fix Apps so They're Not Blurry is turned On...Turn it off.

6. Now try the game this time.

If done correctly, you will now be able to consistently launch the game every time, without having to deal with an infinite loading screen on first startup. Assuming Windows Security's Controlled Folder Access setting is disabled, the game is allowed in McAfee and Norton Antivirus if used, and OneDrive is not backing up and syncing the Documents folder as good measure, that is.

Only exception is if I'm in a good camping spot and can abuse the bipod

But since I'm getting T1 for these LMGs by their fire rate that'll progressively be less practical as I chew through more ammo.

As an aside, the reload rate for most LMGs is a putoff. I remember the LCMG reload for the standard 200 ammo was torturously slow.

The QJY-88 and M240B both reload faster. Why did it need to take that long? The other ammo types for the LCMG even take roughly 2/3 the time.

Recon getting pdws depends to me personally on what gadgets recon has access to. One annoying thing was how Recon players could essentially play like an assault with target detector and map spotting gadgets

I have no real issue with specialists/operators...as long as they are just different character models with no special perks or gadgets. Give us what we have now classes wise, but instead of adding a new engineer specialist with a new gadget...just add new gadgets/perks which said class can choose from.

Also return weapon restrictions, but do as they did in past games and let shotguns/carbines and DMRs be all class weapons.

For example...support class could have:

• 3 operators (Which they can sell skins for because you KNOW this isnt going away)
• LMGs as their class weapon (I think LMGs are a better support weapon)
• 2 gadget slots (Players can choose which 2 gadgets from all available support gadgets. *Some restrictions )
• 1 perk slot (But a list of perks to choose from. Perks like "faster revives", "revive to full health", "revive gives extra gadget ammo"...ETC)
