There are alot of cheaters getting away with it. However, there's also the ability to use the game given mechanics via the free aimbot DICE granted controller players, to either learn how to abuse that on any platform or, on PC, work it into a mouse script. It was a mistake to make snap aim assist a thing and now everyone thinks this is perfectly fine. I don't use controller but it's really not hard to aim in a player's general direction with an analog stick and then let the game snap to target and do everything else.

There's a nonstop stream of cheats and hacks both in software and hardware. EA and DICE can only do so much

In other words it would only help with the x and y axes if inputs were detected in those axes, and it would adjust the input towards the target IF the player was trying to move the crosshair towards the target. True. I practice without AA in portal everyday. So being accurate is possible. But the aim correction even the slightest is more than any average player can handle. But to me mouse input with always dominant. I prefer mouse honestly.

also when I say "adjust the input towards the target" I don't mean fully aim at the proper axis for the target, I just mean tailor the crosshair's movement speed to be say 50% closer or maybe if i'm feeling generous, 75% closer to the crosshair movement speed required to get on target within about half a second.

Knowing the task that we were up against, correcting some of the wrongs through launch, im happy. Still work to be done in many ways, but 7 seasons is a lot if you think about it!
