I get the nostalgia 😄 But it does have super good TTK/DPS and accuracy, it can be really good below 75m or so if you can tame the recoil. I recommend the warhawk comp, bipod when possible and maybe switching to burst over 60-70m. If you bipod it and use burst you can go ham at like 120m

if we take a 267ms as a baseline for a decent weapon it underperforms, by 10% from a pure damage POV, the A-91 I would rate higher, because of the far superior hipfire spread. In my book this is the main issue with most non-SMG vault weapons, their hipfire is just crap, giving them anoter disadvantage beyond the pure damage at the most relevant engagement range

It really isn't. Take a look at http://cs.uef.fi/~anssk/projects/bf4_kill_distance/ and specifically Silk Road, Hammerhead and Whiteout. They are basically BF4 maps with a 2042 map design premise. Median of 20m, 75th percentile of 40m. Even the biggest outlier, Hangar sits at 24 and 62.

I can give data points for 2042 as well, but that is more subjective. I T1ed Dozer in 2.5k kills. THe T1 requirement is 1600 kills within 15m. That makes this range sit at 60ish%

I also have about a 33% hipfire kill ratio, showing how relevant the point blank range is

The AK5 does 25 damage with HP. With a HSM of 1.9x this means 47.5 damage with a headshot. Two more body shots will net you a total of 97.5 damage, hence one more shot is required. If the AK5C did 26 damage, like the other ARs in it's niche, it would be 49,4+26+26=101,4 damage, so a 3HK.

Just to illustrate a major drawback of the AK5C HP when compared to it's peers. Headshots are a relevant part of your DPS, but hard to account for, but I would argue that you get one headshot every twoish gunfights, so if a headshot does not reduce the BTK, it is a relevant nerf to your DPS. The AK5C HP is also a high Vrec gun, so headshots are more likely to occur. It is deliberate with the AK5C, too, Katilio said so yesterday.

You run one specific ammo type so it really doesn't matter. I literally have standard on the scar only for when I'm completely dry. It doesn't provide any real advantage using it.

I got a notification earlier today on my xbox one x saying battlefield 2042 is free for a limited time, but whenever I click on the notification or go in the store non of the options are free. I have played the game on a friend's console and wanted to see how well it ran on mine but can't figure this out😭

#GTA6 update

• Goal is to release Early 2025 but production is falling behind

• Fall 2025 release is more likely

• 2026 is on the table as an emergency option ... Maybe Battlefield wont have competition next year🤷

Meant for the same holiday though, Rockstar is an playstation partner after all I know 🤔 yeah it would have bigger chance if ea don't release same time as GTA 6. But you have to consider also, the game have to be good. 2042 had mostly negative reviews on steam for longest time. That of course did have nothing else to do other than the actual product.

It honestly doesn’t matter when EA drops a Battlefield when GTA 6 releases, but obviously it’s not like GTA is just gonna absolve all of the bf playerbase over to it

GTA is just too big of an IP tho so it’ll take up most of the gaming worlds attention for quite a while

Yeah i would agree with that statement. I'd say its not something they can just brush off. I feel they are on their final chance to being able to keep battlefield alive, and keep it relevant in fps games discussion. That's my thought at least, as for fan base they would be more happy and probably grow positivelly 🤷 I am somewhat confident they will perform better for the next title, but we'll see. Changed management, strange changes that got approved for 2042 reduces expectations for me really low

i suppose thats true, but medal of honor died because call of duty and battlefield existed. cod 1 was codenamed "medal of honor killer" and ea wouldnt put resources into it when battlefield was just doing better. until something that can replicate the battlefield feel and doesnt lean into milsim too much (squad) or die in 3 month (battlebit), or until ea can find a new semi-realistic shooter franchise that does better than battlefield, people are stuck with battlefield

Moh had what BF didnt have a good singleplayer, BF had what moh didnt had a good multiplayer. Cod had both. I mean if the next BF game isnt good, i can think that ea could go a way with ending BF and start a fresh with Moh again. Moh for me was allways a Mix between BF and cod

Why dont BF take advatange in that try a 6 vs 6 small maps destruction with fluid movement which can shake the competitive side of Fps games like cod, cs, valorant...

Battlefield is meant for big battles as a sandbox game with vehicles. Small modes is available in battlefield. Cod is a competitive game compared to battlefield. Battlefield is very casual. Never meant to be a competitive game in the first place.
