Going for Tier 1 for the Rao specialist. You have to get a certain amount of spots/assists, n it's super chill doing it.

It's so much better now than when I got him to T1
On modes and maps that rely on close spaces (think rush, BT, Redacted, etc) you can get loads of spots instantly
Also don't forget spot assists count too, so you can double up your progression if you're spotting in combat heavy areas
Rao is generally just fun to play, he's the least dedicated to the class role

The last game I was using rao with the soflam, I was spotting heaps of targets, and thankfully one sniper twigged to what I was doing and we worked really well together. That was a refreshing change, haha!

It's harder in the newer titles due to the enforced anti aliasing making distant targets blurred, but they do have a subtle rim light. But for the most part, it's because we know the general area people will be. Oftentimes I'd do a flyby in third or first person looking to the side, and make a mental note of where people are. General gamesense helps with this, as you learn where the common spots and general rotations are in a match.
in essence it's just about narrowing down the potential search area so you don't need to spend as long trying to see someone
