Yes but consider this: Mouse and Keyboard players have an objective advantage in shooters.

And ive seen people debate this alot. Its mostly sub 2kd players coping about aim assist.

With that, since you're tricking the game into thinking you're using a controller: You gain the aim assist.

For other games this is.. A bit bullshit but its tamer than this game.

Which has a 30% Recoil reduction for console players. Plus the aim assist.

I wish the game communicated more about why vehicles weren't available. Like if I only see one tank on the field, but all 3 vehicle slots are empty, why can't the game say how many of each vehicle in that slot is in use? Or what state it's in, like destroyed, active, stolen, etc.

Like I was just on a team that got crushed on hourglass by vehicles, but the whole time I couldn't pull a tank. Were two of the tanks stolen? Did they just happen to get destroyed in the last two minutes?

Whether or not I wait on the spawn screen for a vehicle to be available is pretty much determined by whether a vehicle will be available. If no vehicles are available because they've all been stolen I'll spawn in and try to destroy some.

After bf4 they ended up completely neutering movement, and since v it’s slowly becoming more prevalent. 2042 is the first one that implements proper momentum preserving bunnyhops and accelerating slides so I can see why it looks faster

The economics will always be a factor, that's impossible to avoid. But every balance decision has an impact elsewhere. Give a sniper more penetrating power to armor (like the rorsch at launch) and the infantry-to-vehicle balance changes. Give an AR a higher ROF and faster TTK you're going to have more Assault class on the field because they'll get more mags and so be even better with that gun, which impacts the class distribution

Snipers are just really boring gameplay wise

for me specifically

i get more enjoyment from using a sidearm than a sniper

like this clip of me running around with the alien was way more fun than i think any moment i've had using a sniper

and I think that comes down to fact that there's barely any suspenseful, high energy moments with snipers. the whole idea is you kill someone before they realize you're even there. or they kill you before you can react. there's no back and forth that really feels that engaging.

with assault rifles, smgs, lmgs, etc it's a whole different story. even if you have a ton of people surrounding you, with good movement, positioning, and aim you can have a super engaging, high states shootout. that's just way more enjoyable than any possible high you might get from hitting a headshot on someone after missing 4 times (the more times you miss the more likely it becomes a high stress release)

maybe that's really what it actually is: missing shots gives me stress

maybe the answer to that is "git gud" but that's not a git command and i don't know why i should when there are plenty of other weapons that just feel way better for me to use

Like CQC bolting will never not be fun. But this game requires actual headshots (as it kinda should be) so aim assist actually fucks you up.
