Ultimately I just prefer it when fights are more so about duels than just being caught out. A battle of aim, movement and positioning. And night maps tend to introduce a gameplay style more akin to a milsim where the goal is to catch someone out rather than meaningfully engage them. Just not a style I enjoy

If the game just goes to a black screen after a match, you definitely aren't alone on that, but as for a fix being reverifying game files on steam, that's new. Usually just relaunch the game to "fix" the issue on EA App version

understandable. I think there's a place for both in BF2042. Not always necessarily in the same match though. I personally love when the situation becomes one of better raw tactics. And alot of people post clips of unaware multikills believing they are john wick or whoever, but really, what isn't clipped is a whole lot of death.
