Yeah bots don't always work on the basis of "line of sight" like we do

They're likely just fed the location of players and items, then use their pathfinding to find them

It's like how placing a Boris turret in the open is more likely to get shot by bots than actual players

Players could easily miss it if they're just looking around

I got so irritated over this you can see above, that I had to start putting my beacons in areas where you have to use grenades to get it. As that was the solution the AI found out for those placements

the way it’s worded implied to me that you should be able to scope in with a bolt action as a recon and there just wouldn’t be any scope sway, no need to hold your breath
