One of the reasons: stadium isn’t playable in the hourglass rework. They have to load it up as they play the map. Last gen will have major performance issues. That’s why they left it the same on both sides.

This is not the "Engineer Update."
That is currently on course to arrive as part of Season 6 and will constitute far more than an alteration or two to a single aspect of the Engineer class. There will be a substantial change taking place for some Engineers at a later date, and we will communicate on those at the appropriate time.
