Because 2042 has been my worst battlefield experience (compared to past titles I play) my feeling is that it's only still active because it has a live service. Older titles with no live service still draw in a good amount of player. Some even more than 2042, just because of the gameplay. But when live service ends for 2042 it will drop very low.
