If they did then they wouldn't have this awkward 64 player only map in season 5 with seemingly no way to know the direction the game is currently going now. They are just trying to win certain people back by making a classic 64 player map while also reworking a 128 player map which will still be designed for 128 players when released (hourglass 2.0). As far as I'm concerned 128 was not a mistake and I dont buy for a second that they truly think it is. They're just experimenting at a terrible time in 2042's life cycle.
