Breakthrough + tugs, don't be afraid to run close to the action and sometimes die because of it. If it's Rao mastery you want, then let yourself bleed for 30 seconds as the tugs keeps working until it's either destroyed or you die

Heavy barrel was pure bonus on a gun with no horizontal recoil.
Underbarrels were not necessarily needed so you could run the basic laser and the m320 he and whatever you wanted.
That's a testament on how good it was. Though it was overtuned.

Tbh, 128 could work - they just did it wrong and it bringed way too many issues with it. But 128p Battlefield game can def work. But it needs to be somewhat similar to BF3/4 titles. A long gone era. So it will never work now

Map size is not the main issue. It's that map are now "pretty vistas" instead of thoughout layouts that you make pretty after. Maps are now a "location" before being a multiplayer map.
Also, Specialists remains the problem for eveything in the game - impacted 128p, impacted map flow and design (and still does to this day)
128p could work on some BF4 maps just fine. Hell, even Armored Kill maps from BF3 could use some 128p
The real plague of this game has always been the Specialists - because it added so many layers to an already poorly balanced system (Classes)
But I am with you on that. I'd rather play it safe now and go back to 64p instead of trying to "redo" 128p again.

iirc when I played Portal mode using the AN94 they did give it the accurate 2-round burst mode.
Usually they nerf it to 1200 RPM for balancing reasons but still. What I'd like to see is them give the full auto mode the 2-round starting burst like it does IRL.

Dogfights aren't fun for me. Using the VTOL to lay into ground vehicles is far more fun.
I've gotten good enough that I can actually use active radar for other air vehicles, and deal with ground targets using only the 30mm cannon.
