It's like shader cache and usually freezing on loading could be that or a disk issue. I have some issues from time to time and it'll regenerate itself over time with playing. Might have some stutters but they'll go away.

You can also try out ea app repair and see if that helps

What are you trying to say? Documents folder in file explorer you should see a battlefield 2042 folder. Make sure you just delete the cache part in there. Unless you're on a shared PC not sure. Ea app has something in the settings I don't know what it does though exactly. I use it when my game doesn't want to launch sometimes but I don't think that really fixes it lol
