Yeah i get you well atleast i can say that BF1 had variety of good weapons, so you didn't have to stick to one all the time. Snipers were all amazing (expect Vitalli, that's incredibly bad), M1903 Experimental even had 2 cartridge modes, one for sniper, one for high capacity lower damage rifle, that was pretty cool concept.

My hot take is if this game just stuck to player models being cosmetic only with no gameplay stuff attached, and both in game factions had their own soldier models, this game would’ve immediately been significantly better

At first they were just ridiculous to look at and jarring, but thanks to the games aging now it’s increasingly prevalent how terrible they are in gameplay too
