Ultimately, a hind or condor used effectively does do this, I see them used to flank objectives by dropping off troops all the time. It’s just that the hind and condor have more teeth than something like the BF4 Transport heli had, which to me classes it as more of gunship than a standard transport

I think frankly that’s the right move. The reason transports I’m BF4 just aren’t fun is because they’re big, juicy targets with very little offensive capability. Sure you can transport people just fine but it’s not fun to have to run away the moment something shoots back. I like that transports can stay and fight for a moment in 2042.
