The game was originally going to be a battle royale and hazard zone 6 months in they complained and changed from the original version of just bf then they said no, and canceled out, and then ea said 128 players optimize it somehow, 80% of the old dev team of dice were gone by 2019, then the new devs and engineers took processes 3 times longer due to inexperience so something that took 6 months took 18, the art style was divided upon cartoon fortnite apex or photoreal gritty, the last year was during covid which they used a 3rd party network and leaked an old frosbite 3 engine source code which the fbi got involved, each process on their 3rd party network for sharing information, approvals etc took another 3 to 4 times longer to get done due to terrible departmentalization from work at home
