Firstly, if you want to play in a tank you do have to wait for the icon to become full, indicating that the tank slot is free to use. Check the map to see if the tank is currently on the map, if not then it might be about a minute and a half before it comes back.
There is no way to play specific maps on official servers, something we are all begging to see. Although you can in portal matches.
Due to how they have organised the vehicle categories, and how they have designed each vehicle to be a general all rounder, the wildcat will most of the time be running an anti tank or anti infantry kit. They do exist but the chances are low. something I personally would like to see addressed

the "matchmaking" has been massively pissing me off the last days. Matches were not balanced at all, one team was just massively getting steamrolled, while the other team was massively dominating...one team running around with all positive stats, and/ or even have good coop stats, while the other team not only is 90% running around with negative KDR, but also basically ZERO coop stats.
I actually really love the game by now, haven't had played BF since BF HL back then, but geez, this is getting super annoying and it's just no fun like that.
especially when the toxic personalities start to show and people start to complain about "the bad team", while none of them ever had done anything "for the team" in the first place.
meanwhile, the enemy just is running around with his 20:1 KDR and popping heads or dominating with a 50::1 KDR in the helo that one one bothers to attack, they all just hang around as snipers as far away from the objective as possible...and complain about "not getting revives".

There are still NO scoreboard points for smoke, giving ammo, killing turrets/rangers/spawners or damaging vehicles without a kill but forcing it to leave.
These are all things that help a team but dont give scoreboard points. Thus people arent incentivized to do them as much
