I'll whip out the wildcat if there's an especially stubborn stealth heli that my team can't seem to handle on their own

People say delete rao but I say rao perfectly useful against vehicles
Rao is basically the only real option against vehicles for me, Lis' rocket on consoles doesn't feel the same on PC for some reason and the anti tank grenade ain't enough for me
I think the people that hate rao are just sweaty vehicle mains

kill feed setting not applying, vaulting animations being broken during certain gun actions (and vice versa), sundance icons for grenades not properly loading, and the grenades not switching according to input, the issue with icons being too annoying - causing the peripheral icons opacity change, hud color changes, and some balance issues with most specialists
So yeah, random misc things.
That's fine, but this is totally different lol. The thing we found affects all players every single time you shoot at someone.

Rao is fundamentally unbalanced and shouldn't be in the game, and Lis' rocket should just be the SRAW from BF4, doesn't need to be removed. Rao does though.
rao does not need to be removed. for the sake of simple vehicle balance, rao is one of the more useful tools to provide targetting to vehicles, while also not being a major devastation to the vehicles. just hacking them doesnt do anything, but hacking and then having a solid team to apply pressure is what matters
Maybe Rao should have a set amount of times he can hack a vehicle, I don’t really care about his effect on in world interactive things like the road stops on Kaleidoscope or on players, but for vehicles he’s kinda… eh

i mean he already has a fairly large cooldown on hacking the same vehicle sequentially, and with 3.2, he himself wont be able to hack and lock on (cause he wont have the stinger)
Rao is the single strongest anti-vehicle threat ever added to a Battlefield game. From complete safety with zero effort, Rao can totally disable a vehicles ability to play the game, and SPAM it with very little cooldown. It's broke, and there is a reason why previous Battlefield game's vehicle vs infi gameplay was better without something like Rao.
Hold 3 charges and only regenerates them every 30 seconds.

When you get the animation shown when you melee kill someone.
Why don't they just say Melee kill
Then you do a takedown and take their tags.
Cause you can also stab the enemie with the knife and kill them without an animation.
Both is melee tho.
But if something requires a takedown, you need that animation.
Sometimes they just say melee, then usually also Dozer's shield works to count.
So thats the difference.

the Rex is pretty good, probably the best of the Vault weapons if I recall. I like the P90 and M16A3 too
they're fun to have and mess around with, but don't expect a meta revolving around any of them
Boris needs to be able to upgrade the turret. Silencer, grenade launcher, armor piercing rounds, etc
I was just about to unlock p90, already unlocked m16. The rex kinda feels weird in 2042 but it was my favorite sidearm in bf4.

Honestly I think DICE gave in a bit too much to catering to nerfing it. I get it, it's a "feels bad" experience to get attacked by an automated anything - but they can't move, they're meant to slow folks down. If players run into them with no cover, thats on them - so I think they nerfed it too much
I was fine with them the way they were, even on the receiving end
As a vehicle main, turrets don't bother me. Which is why I think they should be upgradeable
Then again so should the ranger. And the transport guns

To be fair, my change is purely because the way Lis’s missiles are currently makes her incredibly strong. There was a reason TV missiles were only ever available in vehicles in previous games.

Lis really isn't that crazy. Her damage against ground vehicles is pretty weak. Sure, she has some good AA potential but that requires some decent mastery of the missle, and can still be inconsistent

I think the flaw in your reasoning is that you believe the only way players should get kills is with some sort of direct line of sight, and that indirect fire gadgets are "not balanced"

Not as simple as that. There is a bit of nuance to my feelings about this. I don’t like shotguns mainly because they’re easy as fuck to use and can one shot in close quarters. My thing is that it does not require a lot of effort or skill to accomplish this. If someone were to do the same thing with, say, a bolt action rifle, then I wouldn’t have as big of a problem with it because it is significantly harder to do so.

The thing is, loadout and combat situation are important too. If you have an AR and someone has a shotgun within 10m and kills you, yeah you're kind of supposed to be killed more easily

Flanking is a counter to pretty much everything, that's why I'm so mad at Stranded and Spearhead, and breakthrough in general
If I wanted a close range instant kill "Bolt action" I'd use a pump action that isn't good at a range.
The issue with the argument of "shotguns kill too easy at close range" is kind of like saying all guns should be exactly the same to make sure it's all balanced.... which is just boring

Even if the good player was doing everything right, they still would die if the shotgun player got in the close range, because even if the good player started to shoot at him, all he would need to do is shoot once and the good player would be dead.

after some short testing I can definitely say the recoil feels better. There is still a slight glitch where the sight pulls down really fast for no reason but it's far more consistent
but from what I can tell that is purely visual, the movements of screen centre are mostly consistent when that happens
