i have dozer tier1. for me dozer was not harder, you only need 800 for dozer
on stranded corriders shielding with dozer is super easy. with crawford you cant even move
often times i spray people with the vulcan and i dont even get the assist unless he dies immediately

i need a better plan for crawford. im averaging 4 kill/assist a game in breakthrough. even placing him near a choke point is hard because once you start spraying the vulcan the whole team can hear it. gives you away to snipers. takes 5 seconds to kill a sniper if hes stationary

So you run into shit like windows being a pain in the ass to see through when your brightness is above 50% in game, which it would be because otherwise you can't see shit in the night maps.

The only large mortars are vehicle based. The stryker mortar carrier has am israeli 150mm mortar. There is no way in heaven and earth less than 4 men could carry one

Respawn uses UE5 for their projects, but that's because FB is mainly for multiplayer like bf and battlefront
now UE5 is decent for multiplayer, but dice will stick with FB seeing as its theirs to use and theirs to develop for everything
JFO and Jedi: Survivor and Respawn's Star Wars FPS game (untitled) all use Unreal, i believe the latter two using UE5 (but maybe JS uses UE4)
which is just their preference seeing as they dont necessarily need to prioritize the same things as dice

most companies nowadays (if large) make their own engines, like Dice with FB, CDPR with RedEngine, etc
real gamers use smth like OpenGL (basically a tool to build your own engine/game) which is what Minecraft uses
other minecraft games like whatever that new one is, and dungeons, use UE4
im currently in the process of learning UE5 cause its cool

Unity uses C# which is personally preferable to C++ that UE uses for non-blueprint code
but low level C++ is much more accessible for engine development, hence why dice uses it for FB
Games arent really made in Java, unless you use OpenGL and are weird
soooo... to summarize: UE (4+5) is a good engine, especially for those that want to design without the full programming background, and want to make use of a powerful engine
Unity and other engines are also useful, mainly due to preference. Unity was the first one I learned but ive strayed away from it cause i find UE5 more interesting (and Unity hasnt gotten major updates to be on par with UE5)
