These class changes should been added pre launch and properly implented, it feels like it's just tacked on now

The response to classes coming back will be rather easy to guess. The people that enjoyed the specialists as they were at release will now become verbal and the people that want the old class system back will either like the change or say it's still not good enough.

but still the funny thing is that they complained about class system not present in the game they bought when:

• DICE around June/July 2021 said that there were specialists instead of classes
• DICE showed the specialists preview on BF2042 official website with a short video and few infos about their abilities
• there was the leaked alpha showing the game without the classes
• there was the closed beta and the open beta to play and see the game by ourself and check the unpresence of classes

plus what's the mentality to say "battlefield have to have classes" when the game is simply an artistic creation and the developers decide the core of the game

and as side note: where is written that battlefield have to have classes?

if DICE develop a Battlefield with classes then in that game there will be classes; if not there won't be classes. simple.

change is not scary, because DICE (as this example) is brave enough to make changes; the problem is the common players mentality that for some reasons doesn't want changes or just fews but not "critical"

I would say classes could have gotten some kind of modernization but I would have prefered no specialists, a system with more classes like 7 or 8, or a classes system without weapons restriction would have been good

That was a huge clunky restriction and I’m glad they got rid of it
