Your settings etc. are saved in the Documents\Battlefield 2042 folder. If that is corrupted, removed etc. you will get the "first time you start the game" experience.

after a little while after a season is done you should get missions that can unlock them I believe

you can unlock guns through the assignment system->collection tab from main menu -> weapons -> look what you have to get kills with etc, to unlock new gun

as far as vehicles go Im not certain but I imagine its a similar use X vehicle to unlock the new one

the only thing you cant get are the skins from the seasons if you werent playing during it+with the BP
