Its basically a bug where even after uninstalling and everything the game will run in slow mo, but only the played characted so everything arund will run properly at a good fps, but player anims, shooting, etc is in slow mo.

There are 3 ways to fix this, best is to do em step by step. First set the battlefield exe to run as administrator. If that doesn't work go to the Nvidia control panel, go to manage 3d settings, go to program settings, find bf2042, and click restore, then click apply. And if that didn't work then the last option i know of is disabling TPM (i had to do all 3 for mine to work).

To disable TPM you will need to access the bios of your computer, so search how to get into the bios of whatever computer u have. Then go to settings. If TPM can't be selected and If only supervisor pass and one or two other things are blue and selectable, then you need to set a supervisor pass. Then select TPM and set it to disabled. Then save and exit.

Hopefully that fixes it and those who have this issue can return to the battlefield.

I really love this game so much, but it's so hard to play together with my friends. So many times, we're affected by recurrings bugs. Some examples :

• updates taking forever to install (download speed is fine as we have fiber)
• game starts with no audio, requires PC reboot
• black screen when exiting a match, requires game restart
• extensive loading times with 100% disk usage at game start

This makes me sad and it's hard to find solutions for it

I don't really care for shotguns in multiplayer shooters that aren't pure arena shooters like Quake, or even TF2. They are practically impossible to outplay in a direct confrontation, it's genuinely a dice roll on if the person with the shotgun is able to line up the center of their screen with you. Which is not very hard.

@GFHutchinson Mackay's trait is going to receive some adjustments, it will be toned down a bit. The general movement speed when ADS is going to go up slightly too + many of the portal weapons will be adjusted as they're slower than intended today.

I think sliding was fine after the first nerf. They did not need to nerf it past that. Visual recoil is ass, DICE knew it was ass, they removed it in BF4 for that reason. BF1 Incursions had the concept of removing sway from iron and optical sights. This would've made optical sight variants more worth using, because they have statistically less spread than other variants.

I donno if Optical variants beat Storm variants in this respect i've not looked into it.
