Consider tank armor is tank armor and the big rifle isn"only" 20mm (so they say even though it does like 50cal damage)

Greetings everyone, I have a friend who just bought BF2042 off Steam yesterday, he downloaded the game and tried to launch it but it doesn't work. When starting the game, it does open the EA app on screen for a brief moment, which is normal, but then the game itself never actually starts. Anyone has tips for that ?

Steam requires Origin and will not work with the EA Desktop app (I think that's still the case)

I personally do not have Origin installed and the game works fine. My steam account is linked to an Origin account though (I played Apex before getting BF2042 myself, so that's why it's linked).

If you don't have EA App it will work fine because Steam silently installs an Origin thin client in the background to launch the game

If you have EA App it will try to use that, which is what doesn't work

Gameplay stuff (new specialists, guns, vehicles) are all unlockable by challenges, which you can view on the collections tab if you missed them.

Maps are always available. You don’t need to do anything to play them besides just getting it in matchmaking.

If you missed the seasons, then all you missed was the seasonal cosmetics.

In bipedal mode you can maneuver easier but unlike a specialist you only have the machinegun as your weapon. Dog mode runs faster and jumps better.
