• You could try reinstalling the directx version to the latest.
• If that doesn't work simply do this:
  Go to startup windows and swap profile to Administrator. Then go ahead and install steam and battlefield 2042. If it runs without any errors whatsoever it means that you have a corrupt file in Windows. You could try file repair. If that doesn't work your only option is to reinstall windows.
