Higher player modes also have a larger strain on your hardware which is part of the issue.
Going from 16 v 16 to 64 v64 and holy hell the input.
Update 3.0 has season 3 and they're waiting to officially start the season later on the day or night so everyone can get on and experience it at the same time.

the way I imagined it working was literally placing a regular ping but have it sort of 'home in' on a target and highlight that with the ping. No tracking, just the ping

well it’s not pc optimizations across the board. it’s likely going to be thread optimizations which will help the high end pcs like they said; that have more than enough available cores but without overclocking- aren’t being utilized
