One persistent problem I've found with these guns is that short barrel screws with the balance of most gun.

Case in point the saiga, the m5a3, lcmg and the VSS.

I think most of the guns in 2042 are fine, though most of the AR's could use buffs to make them more justified to use, because SCAR is sorta meta right about now due to it's damage ranges. Some Portal weapons have odd issues with inconsistent damage depending on where you hit someone, which is not how 2042 works for it's regular guns. This is why the GOL Magnum can oneshot to the upper chest at 49m
