1.) I just realized you might want to try other control profiles too. I use the trigger to ascend, maybe you find that better or easier to stabilize on ascending. (I forget what default bind is for ascending on console)

2.) Yes, the jets ***are ***asymmetrical. It probably isn't the best, but it works fine enough. You just have to handle the F35 differently against a dogfight with the Felon

Also one observation, you sometimes want to go straight for a moment of time to build up speed. If you're constantly turning turning turning you are typically not building up max speed

I find that sometimes a straight flight for a second or so to build up max speed, and the executing one precise turn does more for me than circling non stop back and forth in all different directions

Taking things into the vertical can also help, dives build buckets of airspeed

When the stars are aligned, we're the 36th of the month and it's a blue moon, I can somehow cross the map for a while without too much AA and get a couple ground kills but I'm still flabbergasted at how me using an aircraft and aimtracking an enemy aircraft as best as I can only give like, 30% the DPS output compared to the same aircraft controlled by an enemy for some ass backwards reason

I'm day 1 BF veteran. All 20 years. I'm wondering if anyone else is noticing that the pendulum swung to far on Time to KILL and vehicles? I'm disappointed how fast and how much I die now. It needs a lot of things ha, but admittedly prior to Exposure and Stranded it very much was lacking CQC. More specifically, it was lacking the "infantry focused maps". Maybe not infantry only, but something LIKE a Strike at Karkand, where it's infantry + ground vehicles only and a closer urban environment

It's the result of a poor and disrupted pre-production process, where the game's identity was never locked in

same thing happened with Anthem

(which I loved mechanically and artistically)

but progression, loot, endgame content was never fleshed out

combat was decent too (liked the combo system - pulled a lot of the good stuff from Mass Effect)

but boy it suffered big time from content, progression and loot

and Anthem also struggled with its identity for most of pre-pro

I forgot, It was maybe 2 years from launch to when it was official they would not pursue a "2.0" reboot and development would be ceased - but a lot of people dropped well before that

I think it was about 6-7 months or so (wow same as Battlefield) before the first major "event" that was supposed to keep players engaged actually happened

and there was barely anything in between those months to keep the game healthy with new content either. Only 3 major endgame missions I think

One small thing that annoys me about 2042 is that the game doesn't remember my vehicle selection between sessions. If I turn the game off it's lost.

Meanwhile in BFV it always remember the last tank or plane I choose for every faction

sure you are right that it is all about the money...but honestly i buy a battlefield that goes more into skins development than new content...... BF4 had weapon camouflage,soldier camouflage which was fine but when I look at 2042 it goes more into skins than into the game directly....if dice doesn't manage to release fat content in season 3 e.g. 5 new maps,10 new weapons,etc. then battlefield is dead...because I paid for a battlefield and not in a beauty contest.....

Personally, I prefer gameplay content being free (especially maps) to prevent player fragmentation, but yeah it's just unfortunate that pre-pro went down the way it did and the rest was playing catchup. Because yes after all that time the volume of content hasn't met what other games have done (despite them being paid DLC)

I think BF3 is the safest bet because it fully realized Battlefield for consoles (brought consoles to mainline franchise) and same for bringing Frostbite to the mainline franchise
