You want a tutorial for a single feature that uses the same logic as spawning vehicles from the spawn screen, which is also annoying in itself.

"Video tutorial" for the gadgets being a short clip of how it functions. Vehicle spawn mechanics aren't really a show and tell kinda thing.

They've actually got the facility to visibly show vehicle spawn timers already because they show after you've spawned a vehicle and it gets destroyed, if you use the spawn screen. Just apply that to the vehicle spawn screen overall and pow, everyone knows when vehicles are up

Which actually, BF4 is set in 2020 and 2142 is set in 2142. So the experimental tech from 2020 lasted all of 122 years

But yeah, I think a campaign in a setting like this involving military operations in a world where climate change is fucking everything up would be interesting but to be that interesting would require putting in a lot of effort and subversion, two things EA and DICE are severely incapable of doing.

Like I think the gold standard for FPS campaigns being interesting is..Killzone, Killzone 2 specifically.

Basically the ending of Killzone 2 involved someone in your squad killing the man you've been after the entire game. The objective was not to kill this man, but capture him. Killing him in fact made things worse, and this is played entirely straight throughout the entire ending of the game, you didn't win, the person in your squad just made the war even more of a pain in the ass for everyone on your side, and you've gotta deal with that.
