nft pfp
yeah but if you're playing a multiplayer shooter and you're just not insanely cracked at the game you gotta consider more than that.
I enjoy 2042
same
Its my most used weapon and I see a ton of people use it. There were just a lot of SMLE fanboys taking shit about it back in the day.
i actually dont think ive hated a single battlefield game
Das cray cray cuh
I played with it a fair bit in BFV and it wasn't too awful
even this one
I've certainly had some aspects of every Battlefield game i've hated.
The only one i can say i hate outright is BF1.
BFV is actually the one BF game where ive actually got use out of pretty much every weapon, rather than just 1 or 2 that are the best
Because BF1 sucks shit and i'm not elaborating on that.
I disliked V a little bit for content, but liked the gunplay, but sometimes got on my nerves
Also 2042 not having a server browser really pisses me off.
the content was mostly disappointing up until the pacific update
The Battlefield games were the last bastion of old school community driven mp shooters and they ripped that away with 2042
Didn't people love bf1 and all the new games are shit?
"the people" dont exist
i hated it to begin with but then i started playing again and its awesome
I mean DICE have been moving away from actual decent community run servers since BF1
I dislike BF1, not as much as I hate 2042, but still
Nah it was ww1
If you somehow didn't notice that when they relegated the Server Browser to an option in the UI rather than the default method of finding games, and made it so you could only rent servers from EA, I don't know what to tell you.
But people loved that game?
From the reviews
I'm confusion
Guns feel all the same in bf1, and wanted a whole lot of thing to unlock
Random deviation, sweet spot, and the bastardized setting did me in for BF1
i didnt really dig bf1
You know I'm glad I didn't buy 2042 early on for another game in beta
I'm glad I'm getting a 40$ finished product
I generally like all, only some more than others
BF1 should've been bolt action and semi auto heaven, but they filled the game with prototype automatic guns
Honestly I thought battlefield fans have the same cycle as COD fans
At least they walked that back with BFV and semiautomatics and bolt actions largely dominate
Random bullet deviation is not a bad balancing mechanic, BF4 did it and it worked well. The problem with BF1 is that they did that but also had an insane amount of visual recoil, and also hipfire on full auto weapons that's way too good.
Play game>Love game>get tired of formula> bitch about it> shit on the new recipe> get hyped when old recipe is brought back> play it
Cod fan cycle
There's a reason visual recoil was removed from Battlefield 4 after a patch. It was distracting.
Going back to BF4 and I hate the deviation in there too. BFV just spoiled me with its perfect gunplay
In battlefields case dice and EA look like assholes
I'm sorry but I cannot justify random recoil. Maybe if the recoil were consistent i'd agree with you, but random recoil? Nah.
Some overhate it
Battlefield gunplay looks mid
you look mid.
Cray cray
Is that your nft?
No
Anyways

Guns feel like water downed versions
inb4 it is but he doesn't wanna admit to actually wasting his money on these things
And recoil is static
You dweeb it's a fake nft
What's the difference, they both look like shit
No wonder I actually got to screenshot it
I'd feel ashamed too if i paid money for that
Anyways
Guns are mid
Vehicles look cool
Anyway, i saw a bit of MW2 gameplay but considering the absolute lack of no commentary/no facecam footage available, also the fact that i'm a PC player, and for some reason no PC players were invited to this event, i'll have to wait for the PC beta to happen before i can see proper footage.
I'm not getting another cod game
People do that all the time
The state of the bf franchise https://imgflip.com/i/6tk56f
cool, neither am i but that's not stopping me from watching gameplay footage of it
Cool
And I'm not stopping you
Cool
ok
Anyways
👍
...Actually speaking of 2042
If i turn up i will turn up like that, but only if i turn up
I can't express what it is, but 2042's gunplay just feels awful
Mw gunplay was fun
That is bf4 guns
Especially compared to BFV
Does anyone know if you still c-clamp the AK24? It was like that in the beta, i don't know if they changed that in the full release.
And modern COD
And bo4 added some girth and thickness to the sounds even if the gunplay was static
Shooting the weapon felt satisfying
So do bf2042 weapons
BFV has random recoil and modern CoD has visual recoil.
So basically you just don't like being able to control your guns?
Ah

wasn't asking you but okay
👍
My visual visualization
Me?
no
@shell ermine
Ah
BFV's random recoil doesn't affect semiautomatics and automatics if you burst fire. It's only if you spam automatic fire are you punished

I'm just excited about portal man
2042 gunplay is nice
much like how random bullet deviation doesn't effect those guns if you burst or don't spam fire them.
they still crash
Remembers the good old days
True but at least they get in
in jets, they just go awol
Sfar is op but damn does it sound nice
I hate sfar
In mw the bots wouldn't even control gunships or the LAVs
Just because i want to play ak24
ive been really enjoying the SFAR, definitely a great AR, especially in semi auto. Damage is great, works like a fast fire rate DMR a lot of the time

Are shotties meta in this game like cod or are ars and snipers the way to go?
Why would you use sfar semi
I can't say i have much complaints about AI not being able to drive vehicles, considering AI is for the most part fucking stupid and i'd rather have an actual person driving.
because for long distance shots its really reliable, as long as you can aim
Sfar is op
no
12M is just broken and mcs is ass
What about tap firing
Do you still c-clamp the AK24 past the beta?
Nah, i try it every 3 lives
Smgs and ars and dmrs are the way to go
Im not great at controlling tap fire, plus with the weapon jitter when it decides to skip it causes issues.
plus its literally one key to switch so I don't see the problem
Then die and change weapon
I found your client @hexed mango
what is a c clamp

Idk
good question
what?
I replied as if it was insisting on it
apparently its a way to hold the barrel
oooooh yeah

I dont think you do
Because with iron sights you see the sights
On ak24
I see no fingers, worth a look up tho
Your character C-clamped the AK-24 in the beta and moved their thumb to the side when ADSing
Alex question
Looked cool tho
Yeah, makes sense that way
they removed it cause the thumb blocked the iron signs, apparently
according to reddit
but they already fixed that
yeah this was a while ago
they fixed that in the beta by having the character's thumb move out of the way
"according to reddit"
That wasn't an issue.
Wouldn't the game decide a bit more based on whether you have a grip attached then whether you have optics attached? Why c clamp if you have a grip?
because it's cool
i cannot find any images of it
Fair lol
Who passed this idea
@ripe hedge any info on this?
thanks :)
No clamp
expect a response in 6-10 business days
The response is your ip address

"dont mention me ever again"
Ban ban ban
he gets pinged a lot
It might even be a rule not to at mention lol
i get pinned more
Lol
he said he was fine with it, and way said it was fine since he said it was ok
he said he said that said he

I mean if Way said it... 😬
Alex- W
Reporting a weapon
That does seem like carte blanche mention powers were granted
probably fine to have a c-clamp when hip firing with no underbarrel attachment, but when you ADS it should move the hand-grip, would be a good middle ground. If you have a grip attachment you should just hold the grip regardless of ADS or no-ADS
but yeah the AK-24 C-Clamp 100% doesn't fucking matter but at the same time i can't fathom why it was removed
hawt
That's mid-shooting, but it's from the beta
that feeling was probably the worse mouse input than on launch.
^
so funny story... my "mouse input lag" turned out to be a legit failing mouse lol
like it felt good
Bfv beta didnt have that feeling
going into it I just remember thinking how hero-shooter-y it felt, and that mouse input and the weapons were god awful
I swapped my other G500 for the one with input lag and voila my mouse input lag disappeared
2042 was the first beta ive played
Because stg44 would rip through your feelings
but nah mouse input was legitimately broken, even more blatantly than it is now.
lol
they fixed some issues but not all of them, there's still an odd dead zone.
I think the big battlefield experience of mw2 is better than that of 2042
its different in significant ways, no classes, no medics/revives, and a different gameplay loop, but it looks fun regardless of that
in that it is a technically functioning video game yeah
Completely different game
At least they don't have broken mouse input and controller input and specialist
they're definitely trying to bridge the gap without encroaching on things unique to battlefield
I don’t see why you’d compare ground war to battlefield though battlefield hits different
I still wanna know what DMZ is about.
cosmetics and story, seeing as I'm guessing that most of the launch operators are going to be characters carried over from the campaign as they did in MW19
better that way imo
yeah me too
like, sure, their description of it sounds interesting, but that's marketing.

I feel like 2042 is going to be lost lmao
It wont
Also, one thing i noticed during the livestream
they mentioned 2 new 6v6 modes. They never elaborated on what Knock Out is.
Rough live dupport but good post support game
its most likely going to retain the playerbase it has, and maybe attract players at the launch of the new seasons as it did for S1 and S2, but its not going to massively blow up in player count, its too late for that
operators=specialist , people say they don't want bf be like cod but also say operators are ok , wtf ?
i'm sorry but are you stupid
How do operators in cod work
Operators are literally just cosmetic shit my guy
operators and specialists are different, operators come with the skins and stories, but none of the unique gadgets
which depending on who you ask is either a good thing or a bad thing
i doubt its gonna grow anymore. S2 barely made more of a splash than s1 on steam
you pick the one you like the look of
Bf4 had the best of those skin things
2042 has it's playerbase now, i feel. I don't think it's gonna bring in anyone new, and some people are looking for other games to play.
or if they have a certain progression path with weapon XP boosts like they did in vanguard, then they pick the operator that has the boost for the specific weapon they are levelling up
Simple, not so heavy to sway development of new content
but that's Vanguard so of course it does
essentially in vanguard the operators had a mini story which included info on their preferred weapon, and if you paired the operator with their preferred weapon you would get a boost to XP earned towards unlocking attachments and skins for that gun
hm.
gave them a bit more use than just choosing which you like the look of
they also each had their own unlock paths with unique stuff
i donno i can't say i mind them being purely cosmetic
im never gonna turn down a perk which speeds up progression
and it was kinda necessary since every gun had 70 fucking levels
yeah, Vanguard's progression was not great at all
probably wouldn't have been needed if each gun didn't take a lifetime to fully level up
Vanguard just sucked overall.
mw2 weapon family progression seems really interesting
I absolutely love it
Yeah, the Gunsmith 2.0 seems really neat and interesting.
I like the idea of universal attachments that you unlock, that you can use on all guns
I assume that means like sights and grips
anything for less grinding the same scopes for the 14th time
I dunno how certain attachment progression works, I know the majority of attachments are tied to their weapon family and a progression tree. Whether sights and grips are universal I couldn't tell, I need to rewatch the showcase video
I can't think of a reason why sights wouldn't be universal
as long as a gun has a rail
In 2042 all guns have the same rail system
In real life that is not the case.
You can get adapters though to do that
2042 is not real life yet
based on how the weapon trees look, it seems like sights and grips are still tied to a weapon family/receiver family
i mean most guns can potentially have picatinny rails, even if they don't come with them from the factory
If I remember correctly, CoD games have a rail adapter for the AK to put sights on them for all games
Picatinny is a fairly universal rail standard at this point
Orbital 1.0 my beloved
we should be able to check everything during the beta, so we will know for sure by then
Orbital is a good map tho
And will get better
honestly I will probably spend ages looking through it all
That's a fact
Perhaps
Still sucks that PC players don't get to play the beta till the 22nd at the earliest.
Oh well
It will be different
Its definitely a good enough map, the rework will make it a lot better
I like what they do with reworks
blame sony
fuckers
SONY. >:(
they get to do the open beta first, they get exclusive content, including an exclusive operator only on PS
thats some bullshit right there
I wonder if the Playstation exclusive operator will be in the files of the PC version.
What do you lot think about the class rework in 2042 tho
Imagine getting mad at this
Only time will tell
i'm a bit miffed but i wouldn't say i'm properly angry about it.
Not combustible lemon levels of angry yet? Shame.
exclusives benefit nobody, especially not gaming in general
They benefit Sony
sony only do it because its the only chance they have of competing when the rest of the gaming industry is trending towards cross-platform and openness
There are customers that do actually look at this kinda shit and go "Wow, gotta go with Sony"
Meh. It won't be any better than a proper class system from the ground up.
It's crazy that Sony wants to carve out an even more dedicated player base in front of Xbox taking control of CoD
which is weird considering Sony is releasing stuff on PC
finally
took them long enough
Definitely, you dont change the horse going through the river
though they seem to be releasing everything except what people actually want
and thats awesome 🙌
Where's the fucking Bloodborne PC port, Sony?
but they still hold their exclusive games hostage for ages before they release them on PC, gotta keep those PS5 sales up
sign the bloodborne petition
this is a weird way to farm xp
Sony also talked a big game with discord and still Xbox gets better integration first
The BF Portal Experience
The day that all games get released day 1 on their respective owner platforms (xbox/PS) and PC at the same time is the day gamers win.
I dont want to ask what happens if you rotate counter clockwise
eh the longer sony holds onto exclusives the less im willing to buy them becuse something newer comes along
ban, probably
they can keep their console platform exclusives but don't lock shit away from PC players, all games should be on PC from day 1
Hopefully
I refuse to buy into their crap anyway
I refuse to buy them because i have a pc
Does not matter how crappy they get
there was a time I considered it, primarily when the spiderman game launched
yeah but then the spiderman game came out on PC
but I wasn't going to dump the money into a console i'd only use to play games I couldn't get on PC
yeah thank god
still haven't bought it tho
neither have i
too many games, not enough money
because i don't care about Spiderman that much

spiderman new york looks sooooooooooo good 🗽
Im really hoping that xbox don't make COD exclusive to their platform, they need to keep games open as much as possible
they've promised to keep to the existing deal which expires by 2024/2025, so around the next game release in the series if they're going 2-yearly now. But they weren't clear whether after that they'd continue to keep it multi-platform.
Would be lmao if they did
Or downfall of cod benefits "us"
Low key want to see it happen just to see people cry online
what the fuck... the game isnt over
I'd like them to, just take away the platform exclusive content
Dude I really enjoy watching people crying over gaming
just hope that worker conditions at Activision improve after the acquisition.
hahaha good one
I mean yeah thats the big thing here
they had a lot of issues, and they've started working on them
cause that's a major reason i've not bought into CoD at all for the last few years.
It's beyond hilarious, can't wait for the shit storm when Xbox does make it Xbox/PC exclusive
the more things change the more things stay the same
Vanessa needs to work harder at Activision while Brian continues to throw paper balls into the back of her head
:I
I joke about this after I fired a man named Brian, ironically
I mean, PS would get a taste of their own medicine, but they really shouldn't. It would hurt PS sales a fair bit, given how popular it is on all platforms, and it would also drive Sony to dump money onto their army of game studios to try and create their own competitor.
i will say though with i think starfield being the first big MS acquisition exclusive that its not looking to start off great
And given that sony's studios are mostly centered on singleplayer game-dev, they'd have a hard time.
Idc what happens to PS sales really, Sony does exclusivity without repercussions, Xbox should hit them back hard
Look at the new Harry Potter game lots of bs like no dungeon and missing mission on Xbox
Personally i don't care much about Starfield, it's another bethesda game. I expect nothing.
it will never happen lol
he's angry because the contract is 3 years in length
Jim Ryan is a bitch anyway.
they could maybe get bungie to work on an FPS, but they've probably got their hands tied
Jimbo is based
it doesn't matter how much he complains anti trust regulators won't approve the acquisition without the franchise having some sort of permanent place on other platforms
nah, he's a bitch.
bungie is making a 2nd fps iirc
and Microsoft can do nothing about that
this is what im hoping for
Deal prob still going to go through, but Xbox most likely will have to extend contract for cod being on PS
Never heard of it.
regulators will force all activision blizzard games to remain cross-platform where already so, and microsoft will have to keep to that to go through with the acquisition
how do you suppose a deal goes through when it's not approved
the CMA have already mandated that if Microsoft wants the acquisition they implement some sort of agreement
and I don't think microsoft are really that intent on taking away COD from PS
dont think theyve announced it but there have been job offerings
the whole console war thing is kinda dumb, they are doing more than well enough between console sales, game sales and especially game pass
yeah.
Microsoft want call of duty for Xbox game pass, they would prefer it's not on PlayStation so the bargain value is higher, but it can be there anyways
it's secondary to their product priorities
only difference is people who want COD will be paying full price every year instead of getting it for a monthly fee
honestly I don't think it really matters if it is on PS while on game pass from day 1, its well worth the value on game pass that it would draw people in
because they're the kind of people who just preorder anything.
it doesn't, but it's about long term strangling over playstation as a brand
don't get it twisted it's definitely in Microsoft's interest to have COD not be on PlayStation, which is why theyd prefer it wasn't, but if they're forced to allow it, its meh to them
it likely wouldn't work out for them considering a lot of the Hardcore CoD fans have been on Playstation since the original Microsoft exclusivity ended.
they are a amorphous bunch, the OG crowd were Xbox during the 360 days

the console doesn't matter it's where the game is
and most people don't seem to care about the newer Xbox hardware
and thats 100% of the problem right there
yes i know
i was alive then
so you'd know why MS would prefer it wasn't on PlayStation
yes but i'd be willing to assume that most content creators who preorder every single CoD and buy all the skins are currently hanging out on Playstation, and I don't know if they'd actually be willing to switch hardware for exclusive stuff.
Hell, most professional players i've seen are on PS5, if you don't count PC obviously.
well it's pretty straightforward if they don't buy the other console, they don't get to play the game
it's not like they have a choice in this hypothetical situation
and the same is true for the rest of the COD playerbase who aren't on PC
yeah but still it's not like they'd be happy about it.
They will play the game anyway
the playerbase doesn't matter to mega corps, only money
evidently.
as they should be caring for a playerbase with a triple a franchise is how you kill games
make the competent game sell it be done nothing else matters
How about first selling and then making?

sounds like modern game development to me, look at 2042
lol well this is actually a valid strategy just not for the empires of the gaming franchise
if i buy the year 1 pass, do i get to progress through the season 1 track? or are all those cosmetics unobtainable
no the season 1 track is over
you dont get the cosmetics, no
Yall got it
you can unlock the gadgets and gameplay stuff in S1 at any time, with or without the y1 pass
i noticed that much, i was just curious if i could still get all the old skins and stuff. that kinda sucks
good that the gameplay stuff is unlockable though
I dunno why folk are complaining tbh it's just a clone of siege nothing diff about it
?
yeah, kinda the purpose of a battlepass is to have it be limited time, understandable confusion though, no worries
they sell yearly passes, you don't get the cosmetics from seasons you missed in it either
i donno i find it dumb, especially considering how MCC does it.
basically a clone of any battlepass ever
yeah
yeah, some games are coming around on that, making battle passes accessible whenever
ig i should say most
i don't care much for halo infinite, but i LOVE that they do that
(then they made event battle passes that don't stick around)
they do that on Infinite cause they do that on MCC, and i like that they do that on MCC.
tbh, im not the largest fan of battlepasses as a whole, but its not terrible either
Battlepasses as a concept aren't bad, I don't care for like, premium battlepasses in paid games, like battlepasses you have to pay for after you've already paid for the game
i mean the premium battlepass is just cosmetics though... its not a requirement for gameplay
hence it doesnt really change anything
they are the most player efficient monetisation model that a game can have, for publishers, and gamers
i think it's fucked up that you can still buy the year 1 pass and you can't play the season 1 stuff
i've also seen some fairly lackluster cosmetics in the battlepass, so i'm not sure where that money is going, really.
quite, they are a good concept
it's either that or we go back to the old days of gated content behind $20 paywalls
Like, really, a black Irish beanie for Level 49?
shoulda bought the y1 pass before y1 started then
it's called a year, not a season pass lol
the season, for that year has passed
no i mean a black beanie. :I

this isn't a new concept Ubisoft have been doing it for years with siege
Still, point stands, it's a bit weak as a cosmetic
fortnite

fortnite aswell
i'm pretty sure siege year passes aren't quite the same as this game
its pretty similar tho
they might have added a battle pass since i played, but operators were locked behind that pass, right?
no they are, you can't get the content from the prior battlepasses if you miss the season in siege
it's pretty straightforward
Once Siege started selling multiple season passes i started to get a bit annoyed with it
i havent played seige in ages
Especially since before then season passes meant you got all the content
the game is exceptional beyond bounds compared to every other shooter nowadays
but now you don't, you gotta buy the pass for the year that the game exists
i don't know about siege, so i can't comment
i wouldn't have a problem if i could unlock the season 1 stuff if i buy the pass right now
that kinda defeats the points of a battle pass doesn't it
look at the two halo games
yeah but you kind of can't so it makes the fact that you've spent the money on the pass pretty stupid
kinda just wasted your money
cards
MCC? ok they don't sell yearly passes
then dont miss out
it is kinda your own fault tbh DICE announced a year ago how the content was going to work
it isn't like they just said oh yeah by the way you don't get it
yeah im not gonna say i'm in the wrong for not participating when i did
well i don't know if they said that you WOULDN'T be able to do season 1 stuff once season 2 started
me asking in here was the first time i got any confirmation of that
they did
shoot me a link, i completely missed it on the website and all that
the ultimate edition was preordable 15 months ago, and that's when they detailed how the content would work
so you're kinda late
Considering that, the fact that they still sell the Year 1 pass still doesn't make a lot of sense because buying it is an absolute waste of money.
the price doesn't make too much sense tbh should regress at least per season but w/e
Also, i'm not a big fan of this whole "well you missed out so don't next time" schtick here, not everyone can just afford games the moment they come out, you know.
you didn't need to buy the game to know it
they're asking now it was communicated over a year ago
i was looking for specific wording all over about whether or not cosmetics would be unobtainable after that season ended and i couldn't find a thing
its pretty well established that this is how season passes work, based on examples of the many games that have them, with few doing it slightly differently
honestly its not like you are missing anything, cosmetics really aren't a big deal at all
https://www.ea.com/games/battlefield/battlefield-2042/game-overview/economy-of-battlefield
But as you battle away, you will also progress through your Battle Pass of the current Season – which brings us to the next section.
and its likely that some of them may pop up in the shop in future if DICE decide to do that for players that come back to the game in later seasons
yeah im not TOO upset about it
i just felt spoiled with the halo games, i was hoping more developers would take that approach
yeah and that's the thing, IF DICE decide to. They could very well not. It wouldn't be the first time that DICE have just refused to make certain cosmetics available again after their initial release. BF1 had that happen with some of it's skins.
fair enough
if not, you can always make a request on the EA forums or give it as feedback, best to ask anyway
if it doesn't happen then blame dice
add it to the list of things they are doing wrong lmao
i'm not gonna expend a bunch of effort trying to convince them to do it, just not worth it
then it specifies separately:
All new gameplay-related content such as Specialists, weapons, vehicles, and so on will be free for all Battlefield 2042 players. This content can be unlocked through the Battle Pass. If you should miss the content rolled out in one Season, you can still unlock it at a later stage.
basically, the progression in the battlepass from tier 0 - 100 is limited to the current battlepass, but gameplay-related content is separate (as in it can be gained later)
that page would have been nice to find lol
i checked the battle pass page from the top of the site, checked some FAQs
well its on them to do it, if they don't then thats their loss. The content is already made and they'd be losing opportunities for revenue by not making it available again.
🙇♂️
yeah, i know.
Is it normal for system requirements regarding games to appear incorrectly?
if they'd planned it right, they could have had a page go up in the store immediately on the S2 launch with bundles of all the S1 content for those who didn't complete all of it or missed it entirely
Honestly, I'm not sure what would be so hard about making it so that owning the Year 1 pass allows for progression to count towards previous battlepasses as well as the current one so you get more unlocks and stuff to get, but i'm not a game developer. Nor do i work at EA.
eh, they just don't care enough
because they would be defrauding their playerbase that's why
Which is probably good, because I would probably get fired from EA
how would that be defrauding?
because they are lying about what the content consumers are purchasing gives
maybe, but the seasons are an incentive for players to play for rewards that are exclusive
it's illegal to market exclusivity for a paid product then magically take it away
which is good for player retention
could just be timed exclusivity.
it's pretty clear it's permanent exclusivity
it says right there in their official announcement
it could've been not that though.
?
like they could've just not done that
yeah and i feel like it would've been better if they didn't
as in they are higher or lower than they should be? many games don't really do their recommended system requirements very well, mostly just, 'can this game run at a playable framerate (30 fps or more, at low-medium) with this hardware, keep going lower until it drops below that minimum expected performance limit'. But that doesn't take into account other factors.
I bought the ultimate edition because I knew the features were exclusive for the battle pass, whether it's important or not is irrelevant
mhm and we know 2042 definitely needs that right now
they can't magically revert it now
i'm not really expecting them to do anything about that, i'm just saying it would've been a good idea.
lol yeah
exclusivity drives sales, I'm not really sure what you're expecting
It wouldve been good to add portal maps. Portal is dead in the water for now.
in my opinion, dice needs to win over the fans
and more exclusivity isn't gonna help that
I might've misinterpreted what I was trying to say, basically I'm confused about why a game that I own appears to be 164GB while it's literally just around 60-80gb
perhaps, idk what ripple effect is doing rn
Ripple Effect are too busy fucking around with the guns and fumbling to move them into AOW on DICEs instruction
games generally get larger over time due to updates
though i doubt there's a whole lot of outrage over battle pass cosmetic stuff
It's typical.
tbh as much as portal is cool, i kinda wish Ripple Effect, Dice and Criterion all worked together on AoW for a while to fix important stuff and add content
That's the issue, it's cod ww2 I'm referring to lmao
In my opinion dice needs to work their asses off and put actual hard work and effort in 2042 and the next BF game.
FIX portal like add bf4 maps
reserved capacity, the advertised storage content is also including future content that may need to be downloaded at a later time
tbh, i would rather have more 2042 maps per season
I kinda wish Portal was made as it's own thing.
Instead of being a mode in 2042
those charts ain’t rising up for a while
yeah the games get bigger over time, modern warfare warzone ballooned to multiple hundreds of gigabytes after many updates
tbh, again not that i think its bad, but i think it shouldnt of have been made at all
the only reason i say that, is again not cause its bad, but because AoW desperately needed more development. more content, more modes, more thinking.
same and especially more so for HZ
I personally think Hazard Zone didn't need to exist full stop
Funny how DICE LA (Ripple Effect) is supposed to be an experienced dev team. I just wish they had more help or at least left alone to work exclusively on Portal.
i saw those posts comparing how many maps BF4 got in a year's time compared to BF2042
it's wild
hazard mode is just a fail version of tarkov and battle royal

yeah except you're paying out your wallet for those maps lol
tbh it itself is fun, but it shouldnt of been made (especially after fire zone)
they're free in 2042
Clash Royale moment
it should have never been added or be in the game
Literally nobody cares about Hazard Zone.
hihihiha
good point. i forgot how awful paid map packs were back in the day in how it splintered the player base
Exactly lmao
I think they are, they just got lumped with a job that they weren't expecting and are probably having a fun time fucking around with DICEs shitty code for AOW and trying to make the 'new' vault guns play nice
i know a few people
i just want naval fire fights now
like paracel storm
and the megladon map from bf4
I was one of the players who bought premium for 3 and 4 when they released and saw the playerbase fragment into its own little communities within a month of each dlc
i'm sure those people would just rather play Tarkov instead but can't afford it.
Wait
parcel storm is the megalodon map
it was absolutely terrible for finding servers with
no the other one
Also, I fucking hate Paracel Storm.
the Dlc map
The storm was a cool aesthetic thing but it just absolutely fucks up the audio.
that one ya
im pretty sure that's parcel
Wait
no
But like
paracel storm has a darker megladon
Ok nvm
Sadge
we probably won't get any real naval content for 2042, other than maybe just some basic ass boats on some canals or rivers on one the next maps
Very sadge
That's shipment
that is paracel storm lol

they had some great opportunities to go all in on naval warfare in 2042 and haven't done anything yet, even just swimming in water is kinda jank and has been since the beta
Shipment
I think that could've easily been solved by including premium with every purchase of the game after all the DLC and the next game come out.
So it seems, although it's weird that cod ww2 (which is the game I'm referring to) is a fat 164gb whenever I download it. So I looked it up and it appears to be 90 to 100gb with all dlc content combined, so no clue where those extra 64gb came from
hmmmmmmmmmmm
no idea dude
War thunder>Bf 2042
nah
then you're paying $80-100 for the cost at base, so it doesn't change anything
I mean i paid $20 for Hardline with all the DLC.
battlefield 3 and 4 premium was $40
Eh its no biggie tbh, fuck that game
stealth bomber intensifies
and they released a decade ago now
I really wanna see some kind of futuristic A-10
yeah well they could probably stand to fuckin discount it after all the DLC's out and the next game's out.
F
it’s either nanasha strike map
a helicopter, yes
I think people need to realign their expectations lol each dlc was $10 and had 4 maps, that's $2.5/map, literally excellent value
werent dlcs 15?
I don't even know where to access the A-10, been told it was US vehicle spawn in portal
you can't magically reduce the cost
i dont remember actually
I'm going by premium rather than base price
like i said i bought Hardline with all the DLC's for $20.
ah
So yes they can.
hardline was also a shell of a game compared to every other game in the franchise
Portal looks fun
I don't even remember how much I spent buying BF4 and all the DLC a few years ago, got it a lot cheaper, but it was still fairly pricy
it wasn't even developed by DICE lol
i already miss the c100
And it is easily accessible right?
It was still a whole game.
its mainly 1000% hc rush servers
knife
I saw some coding shit I didn't want
Played much like BF4 with unique mechanics.
you dont have to do that yourself
so you're comparing a game that the battlefield developers didn't even make?
Naw I just wanna recreate some battles with bots
the block code is only for advanced stuff
come on man lol
Yes.
this is why hardline should never have existed
if bf4 had 2042 movement i guess it’s modern warfare
thats just a click of a button then
Battlefield Modern warfare 2
i believe 24 per side, but if you disable passengers, like 50
i can check
HELL YEAH
Hell, right now you can buy BF4, BF1, and BFV with all the DLC for like $22 on Steam.
BF2042 IS WAYYYYY BETTER THAN COD
because they've been out, literally for years now
The drivable couch was S-tier
i’d enjoy bf4 while servers are up
you're comparing 2 totally different things
it’s like a daily mission Apex stuff
yeah and that's what i'm saying. After all the DLC's out and the next game is out, just make the game and it's DLC cheap. People will buy it and be able to run servers with the DLC stuff.
sorry bud can't have dlc level content like 3 and 4 and magically expect a discount
More people will be able to play it.
48 total (24 each side)
And it would be good publicity, it's a win-win.
without passenger seats, 52 total
people were pissed when Phantom bow was being handed weapon in operation community
they already do make them cheap
🤣
3 and 4 were literally free
the phantom bow is a meme weapon
like damn y’all selfish
@arctic grove
yeah from On The House years ago, i know that.
but the dog tag remains
no not just on the house
I'm at a loss here, what're you doing?
they reran the free content multiple times
for premium members
showing @arctic grove portal customization
he asked what the vehicle limit was
wtf wtf?
52 people on a quad bike bruh
doesnt count in-world vehicles
the clown-quadbike
now make that a big limo
Oh also i did get BF3 for free from EA but it didn't include premium, i literally bought that from a reseller for cheap for Venice Unleashed.
Each person needs to aim in every direction
What a waste of time that was.
how many people would use that for ground transport
MV-38 is a cool design but BFBC blackhawk reigns supreme
why would you compare it to a blackhawk
both are transport helicopters
yeah but condor is basically an osprey
I'd love to ride ranger dog on the back while shooting every hacker man I see in 2042
Condor blue
we've already got riding drones in 2042 the dogs would just be the non flying counterpart
never liked the chopper control in the 2042 game
isnt pmc more of a cargo thing? idk
it felt very…wamp
I can see being able to ride the dogs more than those drones tbh
private military
you should see the jet controls
i guess so idk
flying a non flyable vehicle
never in my mind would fly a jet Made my EA
playing battlefront 2 is a different story
well ea didnt make it technically speaking
i just love spinning
it's stupid the f35 in battlefield 4 is perfectly fine
Nobody would, especially because you'll have to pay $15 everytime you select the aircraft during a game
but no we've got DICE listening to the vehicles too op crowd as per usual
It's a joke about EA being greedy for money lol
its a joke
yeah most people tend to not realize that flying shit like jets and helis and doing really well in them takes a lot of effort and practice and there's a reason there's a whole community around those kinda players.
It's one of those things that BF4 did really well and then every other game just kind of stopped doing that because people hated being put against good players.
i ain’t paying $15 for a damn helicopter deployment
Which is what they also did when they nerfed slide in BF1
this is why i love stranded BT though, its just fun as infantry, and not having to walk 1000km to the next objective
DICE really just doesn't care for good players.
which makes sense since apparently the community doesn't either.
the mobile AA has to be removed tbh make it static in the spawns as in 3
they care for streamers
they definitely don't lol
No they don't, not if they're good at the game.
whiny streamer who play ahem apex
God I'd love to have those AA back in spawns
DICE have had nothing for scorn for battlefields competitive players for multiple games over the franchise
and nothings changed with 2042
I kind of hate the idea that streamers who have strong opinions about things are whiny
i feel like streamers only want attention
This is off topic but i dislike ninja
and once the camera is off they want more
boy wonder how call of duty has multi million dollar competitive leagues and battlefield has nothing
oh no ur fine
sure is a mystery
i hate ninja too
Like, there are people who have played Battlefield at a higher level than the majority of people. Obviously they're gonna know more than them. There's nothing wrong with them using those experiences to inform their opinions about things.
nah nah they're just trying to be elitist and hate casuals something something even if they don't know what they're talking about, listen to the casuals
did u uhhh
Dude literally called epicgames to ban a guy for killing him
2042 had like, a single tournament, a 4v4 Rush tournament, i think.
But the casuals don't understand the game.
So how can they possibly know what's best for it?
I have more respect for a streamer who plays this game and puts up with DICEs bs, than most other players that's for sure lol
I have respect for a streamer who speaks their mind.
./s
i dont have respect for streamers
👍
i like the small streamer community
It's the kind of shit i've seen unironically way too much, you gotta understand.
Small streamers tend to just try and enjoy the game for what it is
it's not like the top streamers have a choice in the matter anyways
There's a difference between trying to enjoy the game for what it is, and actively denying it's problems.
but the valorant and top big streamers for entertainment
people watch them because they are highly skilled on the leaderboards
maintaining that position is way more difficult than just enjoying something
this isn’t the big league buddy
u ain’t getting money from this win
but ur fans still donates
Talent is worthless unless exercised.
Denying it's problems are for those content creators that have a partnership with the company involved with the game. How many times have you seen problems with an installment and the content creator talking about the game just praises everything like it's a product without any issues
Way too many.
a lot
they pretty much do anyway
the just chatting category has blown up in the last few years especially
all the shit that happened with the swimming pool streams and all those weird trends of 'creators' getting half naked and writing on their bodies on a supposedly SFW game streaming site
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Bit of a hot take from me but I personally can't imagine caring enough about this to worry about it.
Like i'm not the kinda person to watch it but at the same time i'm not really in the business of policing what other people spend their time doing.
I just don't think its the right place for it, but of course twitch allows it because it makes them money
I have no issue with sex workers and the likes, but there has to be a clear distinction between which sites they operate on and which remain safe for all audiences
yeah and thats the issue with it, its allowed and it works, and theres nowhere else they can go, if they go to regular camsites, they won't be showing enough
You gotta understand, a lot of people fucking hate sex workers. Running a site dedicated to that invites a lot of risk and it's hard to find people who would even finance that.
and wish they can
Oh I know
shitty world being shitty, im well aware
normally I wouldn't care, because honestly I don't care much about babying under 18s online, but there are genuine issues there that have arisen
so many content creators have dark sides and have turned out to be creeps and pervs, and we definitely shouldn't be creating environments where they can perpetuate that and benefit from it
yeah i know. It's one of those issues that's really difficult to actually solve.
the future is now old man
There's no simple solution for it, you know?
🤣
yep
Anyone who claims there is, is either ignorant or uncaring about other consequences of whatever their "solution" is.
generally im just against the overly personal nature of twitch chat and creator-viewer relationships because it breeds unhealthy individuals, but again it isn't going to stop
twitch was a major paradigm shift in content creation, and it allows a much closer connection between creator and viewer than what came before, and ways that can be exploited for nefarious reasons or monetary gain
twitch is just autistic people thinking the world revolts on their favorite twitch streamers
youtube itself was and is much different because the only interaction you had was comments, but there was never any acknowledgement that those comments had been read or seen, obviously until they fairly recently added the heart thing
basically a new breed of karen /kyle
i'd ask what the fuck you mean but frankly i don't think i care enough.
i remember the old days diversity wasnt a big deal
now it is
seen the new lil mermaid 🤣
ohhhh man
ah you're one of those.
Theres' a constant fight going on, as to who the responsibility of protecting young people should fall to, the businesses and corporations running the platforms, or the parents/carers, and there are good arguments on both sides. But even beyond that, there's whole extra layers of nuance that cannot be accounted for.
now i'm justified in not giving a shit.
Anyway
thats not really relevant to the twitch convo my dude
and also a shit take
this guy was probably one of the people that was really mad when they added women into BFV
haven’t play bfv
considering your opinion i'm not surprised.

hi bacon.
sleep
i think i'm gonna go sleep in a bit as well
what’s that

Nice name. I too simp for them 2
the only lis skin i have the one that looks like zofia
both a barret
i want the S1 100 lis
ngl Dozer is pretty much useless , remeber when the specialist trailer came out , people scream like "omg op shield" duh
and doom guy did an experiment
on a tank vs dozer shield
🤣
man was jesus with his shield
he was like “I HAVE YOU IN THE PALM OF MY HANDS”

Lol did any of you see the late EA EMAIL about “positive play” in 2042 . This company is going even more woke than before
paik also the same , she is only good in the new map
Warzone mobile is coming soon
nahh i really dont like br like game
Gtfo
it is
I don’t care
The best one yet
Who plays on their phone and Warzone
Jesus
when i’m not home

I didn’t know you were 14
imagine being mad that there's some expectation to not be a dickhead on the internet
sadly 22 but it’s whatever
imagine.
👀
It just how it works out sometimes
like damn mate you're pressed that now you're gonna be expected to be a decent person on the internet, that must be really hard for you.
cringe.
i've already seen people say ground war of nmw2 is what bf should be , yeah just like when nmw came out and said gw is what bfv should be

I wouldn’t listen to cod players they’re super bias
like i hate to break it to you but 2042 has a lot bigger problems than DICE wanting people to be decent people in-game
like that's not even approaching the level of something that's worth complaining about mate
like that should just be basic human decency, you know?
ah
your opinion is worthless.
good to know.
plus if i was medic in ground war i be double timing reviving people just to die
So tolerant 😂
💀 who hurt you dawg
the world
women = sjw , k gamer moment
wanting people to be nice = also sjw, apparently
i want the toxic players back
it's just a character , grow up
didn't know your mother was an sjw, she'd probably be disappointed in you.

[yawn]
