and since SMGs and ARs are not the same type of weapon, they shouldnt be treated the same, which was kinda the case before now.
ARs, with the exception of maybe the SFAR and M5 (being used as an SMG) were kinda never used. SMGs were the go to for fast kills, and because of that lack of usage, it makes sense to give the ARs a boost for what they should be given a boost for, accuracy.
ARs are more valuable as mid range weapons, because of their stronger hit per lower # of bullets

But SMG should be focused on the 5-20m type range in which case it doesn't matter that much whether you're landing headshots but if you are you're still rewarded because you're well within the most effective range before damage falloff. This only 'penalizes' the SMG if you're expecting big results at longer ranges which... you shouldn't get

Also i know they changed some damage values before Season 2 launched but those were for like 0-5m/0-10m, and it was shit like, reducing damage from 22 to 18, which doesn't really do much.
so i don't really count that as a nerf, purely because i don't think anyone even noticed that.
