I think people need to learn that the dynamic for vehicles for a long time has not necessarily been focused on destroying vehicles outright, but in forcing pilots to weigh keeping themselves alive and trying to get kills. It means when someone sees an enemy vehicle, they see it as a legitimate threat (which it should be) and not just a free multi kill. On top of that it makes getting kills more rewarding for both pilots and infantry. That feeling of overcoming the odds and getting big kills with a vehicle, or that moment of celebration and relief of taking out a vehicle.

I think we have to consider that often times, there’s more than one person locking up a heli, and at times could be 3-4 different people in different areas or even different vehicles. 30-45 seconds of flare downtime in an arcade-style game when any crazy number of self-guiding missiles could be locking into you would be nothing but frustration, and the last thing you want in a game like this is to feel like there’s nothing you could do about a death. It sucks, but it’s probably for the best

And considering yeah how isolated this game is with communication aside from having a group of friends a situation like that is maybe 1 in a million.
