A weapon designer dev pretty much implied that they're not interested in showering us with weapons. They want every weapon to feel unique. BSV-M is an exception IMO that makes up for it by having multiple fire modes but I'll admit it wasn't a good look to bring that gun in when we only started with 22 weapons. I appreciate they wanted to pull a titanfall and have a small selection of weapons that all felt different, but it's a rough thing to adapt to as a Battlefield fan. Not trying to defend what they've done so far, but it wasn't entirely because of investors rushing the game out that we have less weapons at launch.
