Played SYNTHETIK 2 finally, though I played the earlier this year, I didn't actually put much time into it.
Hopping into it with SYNTHETIK 1 being one of my favorite games ever, kinda high bar for the game to match, though I lowered it since the game is still in early access.
But man, I am quite impressed. A little sad that the game is a lot more intensive to run but the chnages they made with the new engine are pretty good. The game looks great and still plays great too. It feels a lot weightier than the first game, but run n' gun still feels good, but needs some getting used to compared to 1 (and I enjoyed the run n' gun there a lot), but with everything feeling weightier it also sort of promotes slower and more tactical play, which is good too. I've yet to see the map variety, but just the general level design & philosophy is a big up from the first game.
The new systems in place for upgrades are pretty interesting, more place for variety, but just have to see how it shapes up with more content & more updates

GTA feels fresh again with these updated visuals; locked 60fps on console is a dream upgrade for me, it's night and day.

Don't get me started on the updated GTAO introduction; so sick.

Performance RT mode is 60fps with pretty reflections, there's a little draw distance popping though; Fidelity mode looks insane it's just that it runs at 30fps and on our living room TV, that's pretty big, it's a bit of an eyesore.

Why use Performance mode at all when you can have Performance with Ray Tracing?

The added $500,000-$1,000,000 bonus at the start is nice; (that amount is determined by what you purchase at the start).

Plus, this new version was free, that's mega-brownie-points from me.

i haven't looked at a lot of reflective models on Fidelity, (as i love the 60fps on Performance modes), so i can't say much on that setting's implementation; but, on Performance RT it appears that only selected models have RT, i.e. polished floors, cars, various windows, and such; it's full on RT, crystal clear reflections

Other models that don't have RT give off a "reflection effect", similar to what was before

GTA V 3 Review: "Game just feels fresh, it's finally comfortable to play on the newer consoles. 60fps, 4K, (and upscaled 4K respectively), are a dream; (not to mention the updated lighting and effects). The game just looks and feels amazing for once. I have not been let down by the graphical and performance upgrades.

Opening GTA Online has been completely overhauled. Instead of loading into Freemode there's a selection screen, (much similar to Red Dead Online's selection screen), displaying different activities that you can load into, alternatives.

Now, starting a character in Online has been completely overhauled too. Gone is that long-winded introduction with Lamar and that plane. It gives you $4,000,000 to spend on these select items: 1 of 4 business in Los Santos, a limited group of personal vehicles, select weapons and visual upgrades to your chosen business. The downside is that you must finish these selections with $0-$1,000,000 left over.

A more perfect start.

It's actually much like those "Alternate Start" mods in Skyrim and Fallout.

The gameplay-introduction itself is now just you setting up your chosen business.

In conclusion, the game feels fresh. I can't state that enough."

@spark oxide oh yeah I forgot to say this earlier but basically my review after playing black flag for around 7-8 hours. Still gonna write one after I’m done but
Man this game really feels like a product of 2013, much in the same way Borderlands 2 feels like it came out in 2012.
Tailing missions out the ass which suck, especially the ones in boats like why??
The “””stealth””” is still the jank of walking around while the detection bar slowly fills up until you can walk into a bush and then just walk around the predetermined bush path.
And while it’s still fun to run around and stuff, after playing Unity, the free running in any AC game will feel kinda crappy in comparison.
Funny to think about how the stealth and free running get massively overhauled in the next game (Unity) and fixes my main gameplay gripes about Black Flag’s jank.

Pistol Swords were underwhelming; I just used the ones that looked the coolest because they look cool. There's a couple of secret combo moves that allow you to chain swords kills and pistol kills together in stylish fashion; I just did them instead of using Pistol Swords.
